God damnnit. Seriously can we just say frick CBS and let the LSU fans get what game time they want for a change.

cost an awful lot of money...

but the day games are significantly better for the br economy than the night games too.....

hence the rest of the sec WANTS day games..

to everyone quoting my statement before I have already said it was out of frustration. I know it brings in more money etc etc. It is just much more enjoyable to watch LSU at night. It is also more fun being able to tailgate longer and watch some other games before the LSU game.

Maybe I'm grasping at straws here but all I can find on the OM website is what some individual posted. Below is what the CBS Sec website is showing

quote:

11/20/2010 Ole Miss Baton Rouge 2:30 p.m. CBS (HD) *2
*2 = Tentative

Anyone have anything from CBS more current?

Just don't see how you ignore a ranked match-up in State and Arky for LSU and what will be a 4-6 Ole Miss team??? If it will make them feel better I'll tune into the State Arky game....from my tailgate.

CBS = national attention = boost to recruiting bases

Bring it on day or night

Isn't the contract with the Conference? If that is the case then it doesn't cost us anything. The team is providing the product and therefore should have a say in when they play. I don't have anything against CBS, but who watches TV on a Saturday night anyway unless it is sports related? Tell CBS they are more than welcome to air the game Saturday night.

so lets recap here:

MSU - night
WVU - night
TN - CBS
McNeese - night
Bama - CBS
ULM - night
Ole Miss - CBS

At least they all weren't day games like predicted before the year started and NO 11:30 games!!

Half of the reason I was so excited to come to LSU for my grad program was the football team, and Saturday Night in Death Valley in particular.

I know it means the team is good and everything but god damn it all.

Sure wish CBS could find another team to love instead of LSU. Tiger fans love night games at Tiger Stadium more than the Sec loves CBS' money. When can we tell CBS to get lost and leave the LSU games as night games.

Actually the Baton Rouge economy makes more money during night games. Hotel rooms, more food, more alcohol are just a few examples. Fans spend more money in Baton Rouge than CBS

It's time for the student section to direct some of their "oh so cute" vulgarity at CBS.

This is one time I wouldn't mind a few "CBS sucks that Tiger Dick" during Neck.

LSU really needs to ask the SEC to negotiate an inclusion of a clause in the CBS contract that allows "Right of Refusal" to move ANY ONE GAME to afternoon for television. And, to all the "KY-Astro Glide Bend Over Boy Day Game Defenders"........

Yeah...pretty frustrating to me as well. Night home game record alone speaks for itself.

There are all kinds of challenges with playing at night. I do t think the players play as well, and I don't think the fans yell as loud.

Both are subjective.

Players can get used to playing during the day. But the lighting is tough. Passing into the sun, shade on half the field (i.e. The fumble on the goal line).

Fans...well, I think night rocks. And something about the still night air, versus a breezy day...sounds carry.

I think Miles needs to put his foot down and say BS! It is too important of a game to be risking a day game.
