Has NOT won the SEC. Just a friendly reminder. You have to be a 54 years old for it to happen in your lifetime and at least a 64 year old to remember it. Those ages just keep rising every year. Don't think it'll be happening any time soon. Pretty soon the grandparents won't be able to tell the grandkids about it.

Has NOT won the SEC.

You know what's fun? Listing everything that's happened in the world since Ole Miss last won the SEC.

Last time Ole Miss won the SEC, The Beatles had yet to play on The Ed Sullivan Show...that occurred on February 9, 1964.

Have fun...

The last time the Rebels won the SEC, we hadn’t yet set foot on the moon.

My favorite thing about Ole Miss Football, EVER.
Someone planned, designed, and paid for this.
Eli must LOVE coming back to watch a game and looking at it, thinking about what he did on December 6, 2003 b/c it WASN'T playing in a SECCG.

JFK assassination was one week before the last Ole Miss SEC championship.

Last time Ole Miss won the SEC in 1963, the song that had stayed atop the Billboard charts the longest was Sugar Shack by Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs.

Lawrence of Arabia won Best Picture at The Oscars the same year.

The best part of Ole Miss football is their Ole Miss Sports page. They have self-deluded themselves into believing they have three national titles; 1959, 1960 and 1962. They actually have zero "recognized" titles.

'59 is the closest. After a loss to LSU on Cannon's run, the rematch in Sugar Bowl was won by OM by 21-0...sounds familiar. Rematch games are never the same level of intensity as the "original".
However, this did not result in AP or UPI #1. Syracuse was national champion in both AP and UPI...Ernie Davis era if I recall.

The origin of "go to hell Ole Miss" was from the '59 game as best I recollect.

The last time Ole Miss won the SEC Archie's future team, the Saints, had yet to be established.

The last time Ole Miss won the SEC 10 of the current head coaches had yet to be born (Smart, Muschamp, Mason, Stoops, Sumlin, Odom, Bielema, Mullen, Malzahn, Jones).

More people have been to the moon in December than Ole Miss players have been to Atlanta in December.

I don't think a black player has won an sec title at ole miss

quote:

In 1972, Ole Miss' first black football player, Ben Williams, was signed and began playing

ETA: I would start a thread on the sec board but I've already had a thread shut down today.

The Rebels have found a solution to that problem: Hang bogus banners in the stadium.
