The ball will be routinely spotted in favor of the Gumps. By the end of the game LSU will lose 10-15 yards while the Gumps will gain unearned yardage. This will impact a few drives.

I'm wondering what it would take for an SEC ref actually call holding on Bama against Arden key. Maybe if Cameron Robinson shows up with a lasso?

The odds of a curiuos call turning the game in favor of 'Bama are substantial.

I don't think any of it will matter. If we attack bama the way we should their front seven, meaning screens, disguises, break tendencies, use the entire field, and make bama out think themselves. We don't have to throw for 50 yards when they load the box we just have to throw behind it and let the WR make a play. Harris is very accurate and throws tight spirals so if I'm Cam I wouldn't be afraid to throw any pass. I like the screen plays W Kent called against us so take a small page from their book also the short crossing to middle crossing routes would work against them. Stop their run at all cost and put major pressure on Coker and frick the Refs we win!

Nah. People who think 'Bama has some sort of 'in' with officiating are just plain kooks...

Wagers Crew - 2/11 games - Avg. 4/23.5

No surprises there. I think that the bigger issue is the penalties not called on Bama or the reviews not getting the correct call (see PP7 pick in 2009).

The 15 yard penalty against Last year late in 4th when we were on their 5 after a fumble was 1 of the worst of all time.

Bama player was yanking on our OL leg...

Destroyed our chance of TD for the win.

I hate them...it's crap like that kills Tiger fans in this rivarly.

Time for redemption

I really wish Russillo would bring this up on his show

I'm sorry, but I'm sure he will be busy poring over 76ers-Kings highlights once the NBA season starts Tuesday night.

Over the next 2 weeks all I can picture is PatPete getting 2 feet down. Spectacular plays that can win a huge game like this, but absurdly going against us with no rational or logical explanation other than Bama bias out of Birmingham. Oh and they better call holding on that Tide OLine because they will have to hold Godchaux, Neal, Bower, Arden, and gang. That Bama Oline looks slow. More so than years past. They made that slow Tenn DLine look blazing fast.

It's more about the calls Ritter misses than the ones he makes. Ck out the last drive for Bama last year.

The Gumps O-line will hold all day yet LSU will be the team penalized for holding. (likely on a big Fournette run)

We all know that the refs will play a role in the outcome of the game. They will not call blatant holding on Bama and will call us for at least a few drive killing holding calls on our O and drive enabling PIs against our D.

Its not how many penalties are called, its when they are called and how it affects the flow of the game.

You rightfully point out the conspiracy theories are getting out of hand. But the situation you point out about last year as being equal is not even remotely accurate. LSU's personal foul penalty (which was a terrible call) put LSU in a 2nd and goal situation from past the 20 yard line. The Alabama personal foul (which likely was a make-up call, but not as egregious as the one on LSU) put Bama in a FIRST AND 10 situation from the 16, not a first and goal. In no way shape or form did the two penalties have the same effect on the teams. Do I think the refs thought out the scenarios that played out; of course not. But please don't suggest those two penalties cancelled themselves out. Not even close.

2014 - Ritter - 2/20 - 3/29

It's all about timing. That penalty was a big one.

On the other hand, I wonder why LSU won penalty battle in 2004? Hmmm. Hmmm.

2004 - Wagers - 3/15 - 7/45
