On a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being most concerned) what are y'alls concern level about officiating and how it will potentially affect the outcome in a negative way for LSU. My concern level is at least 12.

13.5 is where I'm setting the o/u on penalties that Ritter's crew calls on LSU.

Ha! Skip you already calling that Ritter's crew will be there even before it is official. And we all know its going to happen. 13.5 O/U is not unrealistic whatsoever.

Anyone who doesn't think that we will have to overcome a 15-100 yard gap worth of penalties is either delusional, or a Bama fan. It happens every year. Part of it is because the SEC refs suck so much, it's actually hard to understand how they got their jobs. The other half is how biased they can be in favor of the office.

Did some digging for the past couple years of officiating for the bama game

Year - Crew - LSU P/Yards - UA P/Yards

2014 - Ritter - 2/20 - 3/29
2013 - Matt Austin - 7/73 - 4/35
2012 - Hubert Owens - 7/51 - 1/15
2011 - Ritter - 7/56 - 6/73
2010 - Austin - 5/45 - 3/25
2009 - Ritter - 8/43 - 4/20
2008 - Penn Wagers - 5/32 - 2/24
2007 - Ritter - 14/130 - 2/15
2006 - Owens - 7/61 - 5/45
2005 - Austin - 6/64 - 7/54
2004 - Wagers - 3/15 - 7/45

Ritter Crew - 4/11 games - Avg. 7.5/62.5
Austin Crew - 3/11 games - Avg. 6/60.6
Owens Crew - 2/11 games - Avg. 7/56
Wagers Crew - 2/11 games - Avg. 4/23.5

Doesn't matter who we get. Btw Wagers retired for those who didnt know.

My concern level is about a 4--and that's just from a fear of general incompetence, not some sort of grand conspiracy against LSU. If you really believe that the SEC office instructs officials to skew games toward some pre-determined outcome that is in the best interest of the conference, then expect Ole Miss to be completely screwed over the next few weeks. The WORST possible outcome for the SEC would be for the Rebels to win the league (having lost to Memphis). Or maybe there's no conspiracy at all, and the officials just screw up sometimes (probably more often than they should, and occasionally in maddening ways). But I know that's heresy to some people.

I really wish Rusillo would bring this up on his show. There has to be someone in the media that can see how slanted this is in Bama's favor, if anyone would voice their opinion on it, it would be him and anyone that looks at it objectively can obviously tell.

I think some of those "suspect" calls started in the first half last week in the A&M/Ole Miss game. I hate Ole Miss and I even felt a bit sad for them.

So the statistics imply that Alabama is a more disciplined team?

all one has to do is compare the penalties per game when Saban was at LSU vs his time at Bama to see how ridiculous it really is. Either Saban learned how to coach away penalties while he was in Miami, or something stinks.

We have no chance. Not just the refs which counts for at least 17 points but Saban is pissed when the talk is about us running the table, and the fact they have 2 weeks to prepare. He takes it as an insult when he isn't singled out as the best for himself first then his team second. You can sense it in his voice that he will have his team walking in the clouds with bulletin board material to try embarrass this LSU team and tell those who pick against him to shove it. He is a very poor loser. That's a fact.

1.

Not worried. If we're better than them, we'll win. No need to stress about it 1 wks before the game

Nothing to add about the refs, but I just read this for the first time and almost chocked to death from laughing and having a cold at the same time.

History shows us that officials will help Alabama if they need it.
