If he transfers, he'd only get one year at a non-D1 school. I don't understand this...

The biggest waste of talent LSU has produced in a while. Guy is really positive, a hard worker, team player and a tremendous athlete. I am glad he is a Tiger, but he would have been better off going somewhere like Oregon. He was horribly underutilized here.

Transferring now makes no sense

So it wouldn't make sense to light it up somewhere in 2013 and get drafted?

I mean...he got beat out my 2 true freshman. The kid was shifty and quick, but he was not a talented WR. This will not hurt LSU.

to be fair, he was suspended for a ridiculous reason which obviously set him back

and even if the loss on the field in minimal, shep has been a class act, a hard worker, and an overall good guy. you want guys like shep around, this will hurt LSU

Should have used him on the sweep plays like previous year. Crappy play calling. He deserves better. So does our WR. Hope Randle stays. We need leadership in that position next year

Dude LOVES LSU. I hate to see this, if he is in fact leaving for football reason's.

If he does trasnfer to somewhere else for ....whatever reason and lights it up, I'll never forgive this staff.

For all Shep may not have been on the field, he is a leader and carries alot of influence on the team. I hope like hell CLM tries to stop some of this fallout and steps up and deals with some of these issues before things start to crumble..

No, but watch randle walk out the door too. All of a sudden we are kinda thin at WR.
Hope Jarvis Landry can do a lot more than deliver big hits on special teams.

He could sit out his RS year and play 1 yr in D1.

Only on a Les Miles team would their be fallout after just now playing in a NC game...

If multiple WRs leave, this could hurt. Randle is almost surely gone.

He's been at LSU how long? He did not RS here, but, what's the penalty for trasnferring? This is a very unique situation.

He can move on to a I-AA school in Texas and play QB.

There was an article recently how he still had an itch to play QB.

So when you are part of an investigation and told no to communicate with anyone else about it and you do is ridiculous?

All very true. But probably best for him. He sees the writing on the wall that he will most likely be beat out this offseason by underclassmen. He should transfer. And no LSU fans should really blame him.

Most Under Utilized on the team - We could never get him the ball in space like FLA did with Harvin. For some reason we cannot design plays that utilize a blue chip athlete like Shep. The only thing I can think of is the QB situation was worse than it appeared. If Shep sticks around, I think Mett will be the man to get him the ball. If Mett is not that guy then we need to look a lot harder at our Offensive coaching staff. Baffling to say the least.
