dude 16-14 isn't a horrible SEC record at all. I mean, certainly at LSU we'd like to be closer to a 20-10 mark. But we've had some crazy good records by both us and vandy in recent seasons. That's more an anomaly though I'd say.

A lot of parity in baseball and the SEC is tough. Our first real road series is at aTm, we have to go to ole piss, and I'm betting a series at tennessee will be a tough one. Still have to play vandy and florida which are going to be incredibly tough series even at home. I'd take 18 SEC wins in a heartbeat. That'll put us in the top 4 in the league i bet.

Yep a coach that's been to Omaha 2 of the past 3 years is going to be on the hot seat after finishing with a winning SEC record

This is LSU. We expect more than just a winning record. We expect championships...

LINK
In 2003 and 2004, Laval would lead the Tigers to 45–22–1 and 46–19 overall record respectively. LSU would earn the No. 2 national seed in the 2003 tournament, and would host a super regional both years, meaning the road to Omaha went through Baton Rouge. LSU made the College World Series both years, but disappointed both years, posting an 0–2 record each year. Tiger fans were not used to leaving Omaha without a win, so questions about Laval's leadership and ability to continue the success of the program began to arise.

There is no way that OF has average or above average arms.

I hope we tank this year. We will have no offense. Just get Manieri out of here. He's a joke and I can't stand his voice.

Is Cartwright a pro prospect or can we expect to see him another year? I feel like he has a pretty lively arm and an A+ curve. Seems like those guys at LSU always come off the board early.

Looks like it. Not too often that you see a pre-planned doubleheader like that.

It may be a cost saving measure for Fordham, so they don't have to spend another night in a hotel and whatnot.

That's why a lot of those smaller, Northern conferences, or the far-flung conferences, play 4 game weekend series. To help out with travel costs over the course of a season.

So I'm teaching myself how to use Excel, and I'm using Jake Fraley to do it. I've just finished plugging in all the box score info from 2014. I am trying to figure out how to plug in as many stats as I can find.

In 2014 Fraley had a wOBA of .416. Using the Bill James Runs Created formula, Fraley had an RC of 46. That's in 140 plate appearances.

I know it's goofy, but I'm enjoying being able to calculate stats that aren't normally available for the college game.
