Depends, if you are referring to ERA, then the numbers may have been similar with more errors

Good morning guys. I didn't really mean ERA, just saying that our defense has helped our pitchers look good at times. Especially ground ball pitchers like Poche.
Why is there less hype this year for baseball? Seems like last year there were tons of pages talkin baseball. Is it because of all the new players? Maybe people aren't as hopeful?

3 main reasons I can think of:
1. Lower expectations than normal. Our pitching staff is capable of getting us anywhere, but the uncertainty of an almost entirely new starting lineup has slightly dampened the hype.
2. Basketball is tied for first in the SEC, so the Rant overall is in more "basketball mode" than this time last year. That may change once baseball is under way.
3. The countdown megathread of the last 2 years never got going this year, both due to events in last year's thread, and current bannings.

Hardest week of my semester is this week. 3 exams in 4 days. If I survive this week, I'm going to be so excited for baseball season.

Russian, take that down. You know how The Committee feels about releasing team information before we give it to Chandler.

does it seem like deichmann has been hitting the ball better lately?

The last preseason scrimmage of the year is today starting at 4:30 pm. It's free and open to the public.
