I think Edward is going to have a good year.. I was impressed when he came in last year, he looked like he finished last season on the up-rise. He was pretty clutch when we really needed him.

I don't think Hanover or Ott will go pro after this year unless they put up incredible numbers.

I would say this applies for Nola as well, te only one I see definitely gone is mahtook

I would include Nola with Mahtook before I put him with Hanover/Ott.

Edward really got us going a few times last season and I think he'll play solid. Great read

HEIGHT:5'6
WEIGHT:155
BATS: R THROWS: R

Second Base

Tyler Hanover (Jr.)*
Grant Dozar (Jr.)
Matt Fury (So.)

The pesky right handed second baseman is back at second base to begin the 2011 season. To the naked eye the average fan would never guess that at 5'6 Tyler Hanover along with Austin Nola form the most talented middle infield in the SEC. Hanover had a decent season offensively in 2010, however knows he's going to be counted on much more heavely this spring to drive in runs while hitting in the middle of the order. Because of this need he should find himself hitting anywhere from 2-6 in the batting order. Since LSU's elimation from the Los Angeles regional very few players have worked as hard as Tyler to become that better player in each aspect of their game. The 2011 year is an important one for Tyler, he can greatly improve his draft status with a superb year ala. Ryan Schimpf in 2009. The coaches firmly believe Hanover's going to continue to excel defensively with that strong arm at his natural position of second base. Grant Dozar will be backing up second as well as every other position it seems. Matt Fury, the sophomore infielder provides depth.

Grade: B+

Ya...both batting and pitching. Im not sure if you can have a championship team with almost no left handers...but the talent on this team is sick. At least we dont have to be as scared of lefty pitchers as we have in the past... Bring on Matt Purke!!!! We will OWN YOU!!!
