Dude, I just don't know what to say.

I am as frustrated as anyone with the O but you're remembering a lot of the show correctly but some parts of what you are remembering are wrong.

Gary is the play caller.

The offense sucks #1 because we don't have a qb. #2 it sucks because the staff has failed to build it around what we do have. #3 its conservative because we have a bad arse D and a wicked special teams. Enjoy the season.

i do remember hanagriff making the statement that Crowten play-calling abilities are in a locker, in a straight jacket, and buried under Tiger Stadium

I also recall Hanagriff making this comment. Both GR and CH stated on more than one occasion during the show that this is Les Miles' offense. I don't remember if they came out and said that he was calling the plays himself or if they meant that Crowton was calling them from a list given to him by Miles.

this reality just scares me...i mean people keep bashing crowten and gonzales and im not sure we shouldnt be all over crowten. it just people think firing crowten will be a huge boost and this just seems to mean that Miles will just continue to do what he wants.

This is why I predict that many of the top OCs around the country will shy away from LSU when Crowton is used as a scapegoat and eventually fired.

I think people are also forgetting about Jimbo and all the speculation as to why he left.

This is the really scary part. If the horrible play calling is all Miles, then firing Crowton won't change a damn thing. It will continue to be more of the same.

Not saying Miles isn't heavily involved in it all, but...

1) Crowton's offense has annually declined at every place he's been

2) Crowton is the QB coach, and we know how that's going. Simply hiring a competent coach would at least help that position (see Chavis with LBers)

3)Miles has been here for 6 years now, and this offense looks nothing like the ones we ran 2005-2008

why dont you do a google search on CROWTON's (notice the 'o') coaching career. he has done the same exact thing at every coaching stop he has had. comes in the first year and has an incredible offense, then every year after that his offense gets progressively worse. its his mo. ask the byu fans, ask the chicago bear fans, ask the oregon fans and they will all tell you the same thing. get a fricking clue.

I have a bama friend that every time he sees me he says he loves les miles.

he says he knows miles to go 10-2 or 9-3 every year, so that we never fire him and that is whats best for Bama because they will continue wo win West titles. It makes me so pissed because I know he is right.

not sure if it was on this website or on another, but some BYU fans actually warned us of how quickly the Crowton offense declines. It sounded stupid at the time, but they ended up being prophetic words.

rutiger,

fine, man. just know people that are closer to the program any any of us disagree with you, and are adamant about it. I know all of crowton's stats, and i think he sucks as well. My main point is that it wont get any better because Miles wont allow it even if we make a change.

We all know about Crowton and his tendency to get worse over time. The dude was only repeating what he heard on the post-game radio show....a comment that was made over and over by two guys who are supposed to be in the know when it comes to LSU football.

He's not making the shite up. I heard it too. Miles may not be the only reason for the shitty offense, but he's definitely part of it.

Does it really matter ?
Miles is the head coach..it his responsibility.

He was trying to be a nice guy and not fire anyone and LSU suffered with 2 CO-defensive coordinators.

Now, IMO, he is not doing his job again..
why? who knows...but it would follow that he does not want to hurt anyone's feelings.
This is business, BIG business. His job is to be respected, not liked and it is time he does it.
