It doesn't matter who the OC is.

Ben Simmons is going to be our OC

Dan Enos.
ETA: That's only assuming he'd have complete control of the playcalling.

The next OC will just be the next scapegoat.

I could not careless about the OC position now. I was into that before Cam Cameron. I thought that the fact that CC was Les' friend, that he could tell him to let go of control, but now I know he won't no matter what. No coaching change will make an impact in the gameday tactics, and sadly thats the area LSU lacks the MOST.
Hey, at least he hired recruiters to make him look good.

Question: If we win out and finish the season 10-2, why the hell would we need a scapegoat?

No. He will "resign" due to health reasons.

Why even let Cameron go if they arent going to fire Miles?
Why would any OC wanna come to LSU for 1 year maybe before Les will get pushed out and a new regime comes in.

This will be interesting. They will have to take a long look at this. Contract is up. Hopefully he coaches his arse off to prove he deserves another shot. We shall see if it even matters.
This will fall on deaf ears, but I challenge some of you to go watch highlights of 06 and 07 and tell me this is the same offense. It's not. The offense has changed under each coordinator.

06-07 were before the pick 6 debacle in 08 that messed up LM;s brain. The O does look pretty similar to the O from 09 on.

I dont think it will. Its pretty common knowledge. The personnel was more heavily involved with the Jimbo Fisher scheme. It wasn't until the roster was mostly Miles' recruits did LSU start to fully run the offense he wants.
It was a slow descent into the Miles offense.
Jimbo was a holdover at LSU, and he knew the team FAR better than Miles did, so its not a shock that he was able to have more control at that time than any other OC after him.
Crowton as OC was a perfect example of the struggle between Miles and Crowton.
We had some of the most janky plays, and we'd run 7 different guys each game. Really bizarre. After Crowton it was ALLLLLLL Miles 100%. He finally had complete control without question. Its been this way ever since.
