you sound like you have alot of chafing going on tn56. Maybe a massengale bath would help with that...

just for your information, we weren't in the cellar this year. we finished ahead of OM, aTm, and Arky this yr I think...not bad for rebuilding yr....or can you not admit to those facts?

We're like top 5 in time of possession. If anything, put defense was GREAT because of our offense. Our points have nothing to do wit time of possesion. Quit trying to sound like you know what you're talking about by spitting out retarded ranted rabble.

I don't think anyone wants a high flying offense. We just want a passing game that is capable of completing > 50% of passes and capable of throwing for > 200 yards per game. This really shouldn't be too much to ask for, and does not mean a high powered O.

:bow I agree with u 100%, but most on this board that talks Offense is talking about having a Baylor, Oregon type O, but we don't need that O to win! Last years O with this years D wins a NC at least 85% of the time!

Agreed, I would just like to be consistent on Offense. Last year seems like an anomaly. When you look at the talent on that roster and what they are doing on Sunday's now it seems like it may be hard to recreate what we had last year. I would like to see the coaches make up for the talent gap with some scheme corrections within the pro-style philosophy. What we saw at A&M was a good start.

Arizona players looked small compared to Oregons which is a switch. PAC 12 football sucks if that is what we saw last night, sheesh.

The talent gap was obvious.

Sorry, Saban is not available (he's the only one that meets your criteria).

a coach that makes good decisions ALL the time!!!
Doesn't exist. Good job setting realistic expectations. By your criteria, LSU will NEVER have a coach that you are satisfied with. Sadly, this is the case for too many posters on this site.

I think you have nailed it. Folks on here think those who want a less predictable offense want the mike Leech approach. What we want is the multi phase offense you describe. What we have now is not remotely like what you describe.

Frankly, I, and I will assume MOST people just want two things from the offense...
besides having one...

a) less predictability, more creativity
b) more balance:
this season...
Rushes 583 70% mostly up the middle
Passes 262 30% the majority of the passes
are > 15 yards
hardly any screens or slants..the other team knows this.

total plays = 845

What is it with you morons that think you can't have an offense and a defense? People have been trying to make a point about the deficiency Miles seems to have with his teams and it's at QB mostly. So really all we need to see is production there and we have another title in 2011.

Someone point out that Sumlin can pass every year no matter the QB and then some idiot says "well what has he done? No Defense, you can have it I don't"

Well, translation for you idiots is that people are pointing out that other coaches can find consistency at QB, so why can't LSU? They have the defense, and its LSU, so it will stay a trademark of LSU> YOU think a new coach is going to come in here a tell the NFL defensive talent growing out in the back yard to "get the frick out of here...this is air raid central now!" No........!

Just looking for a solution to get that last piece of the puzzle that makes this team as dominant as any other in the country....here's a hint- Starts with a Q and ends with a B.

Are there other issues, sure. O-line isn't great, special teams has dropped off....However, the 1 glaring spot....QB. It's the sole reason for a few key loses over the years.

How about Auburn in 2010 and FSU last year? Pretty big O's.

Auburn and Florida both had a once in a lifetime QB's that could get 3 to 4 yards by themselves everytime they touched the ball! With a capable QB our offense is hard to stop, Les and Cam proved that last year! Let Harris put on 15lbs and learn the O this summer you'll see a way different O than this years next season! Harris body was no way near ready for Sec play this year, some of the shots Jennings took would've broken Harris in half! The Harris show is coming be patient. I know it sucks but just wait!
