The new coach is going to be on the hot seat right after they get blown out at home by UGA first game next year. She's right

Didn’t know Sabans recruits were still there in 2011, that’s interesting.

She said it didn't matter who they hired because Alabama fans are so unrealistic right now that it doesn't matter what the next coach accomplishes, it's never going to be enough

That's why you never follow a legend, not until after decades of misery for a delusional fanbase.

Who do you think was adored by their fanbases more, Saban after his last ship? or Harbaugh bringing Mich back to the top?

I remember when Steve Young won the SB after several years after Montana and Young jokingly wanting Rice to take the monkey off his back.

How many of Saban’s recruits were on the 2011 and 2012 teams?!?

It will never happen, but if asked most fans who fits the mold as a great "buffer guy" in college football, the answer would be Ed Orgeron

Well they are very unrealistic so whoever they get will get shite on for not being perfect. Recruiting will slip some and the record will show it. But with a 12 team playoff that goal might not be as hard as it has been. But I don’t see any name coming in and lasting 5 years.

So you deliberately hire a worse coach only to try to punish your fan base because they got too spoiled but then in 3-5 years you come back to them and ask them for a ton of money so then would be the time to win again the most.

That's not what she said. She wants them to hire someone who can do a decent job and keep Alabama competitive and then go after "the coach." She believes that there's no way the next coach is going to be able to even come close to matching the accomplishments of Saban, but that won't stop fans from expecting the same level of performance. She doesn't want to hire "the coach" now and then run off a great coach because the expectations are so unrealistic.

This is probably very true what she has said. The crazy thing is if you hire a big name guy and strike out and treat him bad the next time around it becomes even harder.
They will probably have two strikes on coaches no matter who the person is.
Third one will be the charm. That seems to be their history. Bear then misses then Stallings then misses then Saban.
They will ultimately do this to themselves.

I know LSU has some fanatics, but Alabama football is on a different level. A lot of Alabama fans put God and Saban on the same level and I'm not kidding about that!

Alabama will never win the SEC West again. Book it.

I told my wife this very thing tonight. You don't want to be this coach, you want to be the next coach, and then have them grateful when you win. They have a lot of soul searching in the days ahead of them and thats a hard road when you think you deserve something.

ESPN is going to see to it that Bama will be in the playoffs annually no matter what.

Alabama was getting nowhere near the championship before Saban because they weren’t very good. After Saban got there they got to the Championship regularly because they were, by far, the best program in the country - not because ESPN suddenly became Bama fans.
