If Saban is so damn good, why did he need a mulligan to beat Miles?

You idiots need to get over yourselves with this shite. You really do.

In 2011, Miles and Saban are 1-1. Each losing the "most important game" at that time.

Just so happens the one Miles loses is the mulligan Saban gets.

I hate our "fans" sometimes. I really do.

You have all bought the narrative I've read here that the media/ESPN sold for the past two months.

Also, if Saban is so awesome, why didn't his teams in 2008 and 2009 blow out what were easily LSU's worse teams under Miles?

In 2008, Bama needed OT and FOUR picks by a Freshman QB to beat LSU. Not to menion a pick 6. Wouldn't a genius have won that game in regulation by a large margin?

In 2009, Bama's best team under Saban, needed blatanly biased officiating to put a game away while LSU has their second string QB, RB, and DBs in the game when it mattered most. Wouldn't a genius blow this game out as well, especially since it was in Ttown?

Move on idiots. Move on.

ETA: One more point to piss all of you off:

Miles wasn't the "genius" coach whose team rode the coattails of another to make the NC game.

Yeah, I said it.

If LSU doesn't have the season it has, Bama sits at home Jan. 9th.

That's right. Saban rode Miles' coattails to NOLA.

Saban didn't maul the genius Kelley in Dallas. Saban didn't maul the offensive guru Holgerson at WVU. Saban didn't maul Richt in his backyard for the SECC. Nope, Saban was begging on Sportcenter while Miles was taking care of business.

Deal with it.
Miles did.

I agree, but I also find them hilarious.

Kind of like a tragic comedy.

Everyone seems to have forgotten the past LSU Tigers. I swear they all want to go back to DiNardo.

Yep -- simply amazing.

Miles is 3 - 3 vs. "the God" at this point... and "could" be 5 - 1 with a little break here and there in 2008 and 2009.

People forget good things in a hurry and seem to dwel on bad things forever.

September can't get here fast enough.

The media has ceated that LSU fans care about wheather Saban is better than Miles. I still think Miles is a better overall coach than Saban.

Miles problem is during game management he plays favorites. The only issue with this game is miles Quarterback decision the last 5 games and it will haunt him a long time.

I fully support Miles and think he's a great coach, but this quarterback situation will take a while to get over. It not only about ability, but the perception of fairness based on performance the first eight games by Lee. He earned the right to finish off the season, at least split time.

On Nov 6, Miles decided to try something different albeit not complicated and it ended up giving us just enough to win.

So yeah, props to him.

On Jan 10, He stubbornly and stupidly decided to keep doing the same thing over and over when it was clear to everyone watching that game it was not working. Why? Because of stubbornness, poor judgment (QB's feet gave us the best opportunity), and his weird, almost homo attachment to JJ.

So yeah, he is stupid.

And yeah, it was clear to every single person with a brain cell who watched that game that Miles was flat out schooled by Saban.

Deal with it.

well he had some outlier/unlucky plays on 11/5/11 and took us to overtime

why did we need OT when his FG kicker missed so many FGs?

and we were ABSOLUTELY DOMINATED on 1/9/12. saban left no doubt which team was better

Yup. Props. On Nov. 6th, he was a genius.

Uh huh.

I'm actually dealing with it quite well, thank you.

I most certainly appreciate you proving my point. Didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to do it, but you did.

was upset w/ him for completely pulling Lee after 2 picks, nothing genius about it.

Regardless, Les still out coached Saban in the 1st game. Saban made a lot of bad decisions that if he didn't make, Bama probably would have won. If he had punted instead of kicking long field goals when his kickers had already missed so many and played field position, and not tried a WR pass in such a defensive game, they may have won.

Like RS falling on his arse on an obvious TD? Or RR dropping another? Or a few late hits that weren't called that would have extended drives? Or outgaining Bama from the second quarter on?

Those?

The same kicker who was shite all year, who just happened to have his best game on Jan 9th?

Just like their average QB who racked up 10 of his 16 TD passes against Kent State, North Texas and Ga. Southern, but then had the game of his life on Jan 9th?

It is football. You get enough chances against one team the tide will turn sometimes.

PUN INTENDED.

Agreed.

Yes, no doubt who was better Jan. 9th.

Too bad LSU doesn't get a mulligan like Bama.

Why is that?

Most people outside LSU fans really don't believe LSU won on 11/5/2011. It is fricked up, but that is the way it is.

If Miles would have came out with a decent game plan we probably would have at least scored and it wouldn't have looked nearly as bad.

Also the whole Lee deserved it shite is so stupid. This ain't pee wee football. He should have put Lee in to change things up; however, Lee was not some superstar on the bench behind Jefferson. Both QBs were average and had their ups and downs.

After the first Bama game, I'm on record as saying that Miles lost a lot of respect from me, and that he was never going to get it back. After the second Bama game, he lost a lot more. Just saying.

Why are you so upset that some fans realize Saban outcoached Miles a ton on Monday. Not close, but nothing godly about it.

Miles freaking quit! Think about that. He will be forever known as the Mad Quitter to me.

Just think how close Saban was to outcoaching Miles on 11/5 too if not for Reid's play of the year.

Reality sucks for some of y'all apparently.

eh. it was pretty even

les didn't "out coach" saban when reid saved the game or when bama's FG kickers missed FGs in the maroon zone

and not tried a WR pass in such a defensive game,

dude...seriously? that pass would have sealed the game 99 times out of 100. LSU got lucky to be in the 1/100

that was a horrible throw by JJ, which is not an outlier play

but then had the game of his life on Jan 9th?

that was coaching. saban's OC had our defense scouted and schemed cold. they adjusted the offense, while our offense (somehow) went further backwards under miles/stud/kgrags

mulligan?

bama didn't get a mulligan

and combine the 2 games like this was the champions league in soccer. Bama still wins easily
