Northwestern State Game on DirecTV, Dish, ESPN3-Updated
Posted on 9/8/11 at 6:45 pm
Posted on 9/8/11 at 6:45 pm
Summary I have so far:
Outside La:
ESPN Game Plan Subscribers- DirecTV 788 No charge
Non-ESPN Game Plan subscribers- DirecTV PPV 787 Charge is $25 (?)
Dish Network- channel 463, 464 PPV Charge-yes/no?
ESPN3 online- Free
Inside La:
Tigervision PPV- charge is (?)
Dish Network- channel 463 or 464 PPV Charge-Y/N?
DirecTV channel 787 PPV; charge is (?)
ESPN3- Blacked out in La.
If anyone can help with the questions above on charges or no charges, I'll keep it updated.
Thanks.
For those of you out of staters who have ESPN Game Plan, the schedule is finally out for Saturday's games. The NWSU-LSU game on Tigervision can be seen on DirecTV channels 787 and 788.
787 is listed as a PPV channel, and 788 is listed as ESPN. 788 is probably where out of staters with ESPN Game plan can see the game at no extra charge.

Yeah, the DirecTV channels are the same all over the country. What I was saying is that I think the out of staters who pay for ESPN Game Plan will see the game on DTV channel 788 at no additional charge. I believe the folks who don't pay for ESPN Game Plan already can purchase the game on PPV channel 787 for this game.
Does this sound about right, Ranters?

You're dead on it. For DirecTV:
787 is TigerVision PPV, available only in Louisiana
788 is ESPN GamePlan, available eveywhere but Louisiana

You'd have to ask Dish Network folks; I only have DirecTV.

What channel will it be on for Cox?
Posted on 9/9/11 at 8:12 am to dale10
The broadcast is being originated by Tigervision, owned by LSU. The only people with license rights are those who pay the licensee for the right to televise the broadcast nationwide, such as ESPN Game Plan. Cox is an independent broadcast network which is not part of this paid agreement. They will not have this live broadcast.
I believe you can purchase it on DirecTV PPV channel 787 in Louisiana, or watch it on ESPN3.com if it is available in your area.

I live in Texas. The game is not available for ppv outside la on direct is what the guy told me yesterday. It is only available on gameplan and I'll be damned if I'm paying $160 for one game. ESPN 3 hooked up to my TV is my route!

You don't have to buy the whole season. It's $25 for an individual weekend.
