The media is looking for drama and a storyline and if it doesn't exist, they'll create it.The decision makers at LSU need to remain steadfast and committed to what they're doing. Find us a coach. If not Jimbo then someone as good.

I have zero problems with how this is being handled. If anything, Les and his people are making it harder than it needs to be.

Partially agree. LSU hasn't done anything wrong. Neither has CLM. Media on all levels has turned this into a circus. Yet they act as if they're innocent of any wrongdoing.

I 100% completely agree. Les needs to be held accountable for letting the program slip under his throne. It's his fault that they're in this situation to begin with.

Well, if FSU countered with a raise and Jimbo accepted, huge fricking problem

It was amazing how many times Lee Majors had to fight that thing.

Yeah. Because National Title winning coaches with close ties to Louisiana are not only in abundance, but they're all looking to change jobs.

I've cursed les' name up and down campus many times, but Alleva is the one who leaked the info to the press (per the 104,5 guys). Will Jimbo get LSU out of this rut? I think so, but they've handled this terribly and the national media is right to lambast the AD for it. Les, for how shitty he looks on the sideline sometimes, has represented LSU well for 11 years, graduated players, and been a great figurehead.

If Jimbo crawfishes, then there is still Kelly, Herman, Mullen...

Yeah, Jimbo wasn't immune from criticism when he was here.

If Fisher doesn't come through it was botched. And Alleva should be fired. You don't fire Les Miles and hope for the best.

It's a risky game going after Kelly--you have to wait out the NFL season, and go up against USC for their top choice, and if you fail, no one will be left.

Mullen is a notorious prick and despite his accomplishments, Foley passed on him twice. Don't see him as an upgrade over Les.

Herman would be interesting, but I doubt LSU goes after him unless they have to. They haven't hired a coach from a non power five team since Curley Hallman.

Not saying none of those guys work out, bust saying it's not as easy as "if you don't get Jimbo, get one of these guys".

It's Jimbo or bust. He's the closest to a sure thing and would be the most capable to come in and win right away.
