You don't get it. If we want to keep a live tiger on campus, we have to give a little. This takes away the arguments of PETA and other groups.
frick those groups. They have no power over anything we do

It's hard to win an argument against groups like PETA when we were literally parading a wild, endangered tiger around 100,000 very loud screaming fans. That kinda diminishes the notion that Mike's well being was always our #1 priority.

Do you think Dr. Baker was for or against the decision to no longer parade Mike around the stadium? Do you value his opinion or is it just "who cares? its a stupid animal?"

It's time to accidentally ...on purpose leave F. King and Alleva in the enclosure with the new Mike.....could solve many.....many problems.

Why should we care what PETA thinks? They kill thousands of animals in their shelters every year. Just ignore them. Appeasement gets you nowhere. They're not even worth engaging.

I'm not saying you're lying, but this is the first I've heard of F King wanting to end the tiger program.

It was obviously never a public movement, but it's what he wanted.

He wanted to turn the current habitat into a memorial or "exhibit" for Bengal tigers. Nothing was ever formally proposed, but it was brought up on more than one occasion with a few of the Chancellors.

I mean, tradition is what makes college football so great, but I guess you can be dismissive about it.

I hate PETA. I don't care what they say or do. This move was about doing what was morally right and potentially getting ahead of bad PR. Two smart reasons.

If the only negative is that we as fans don't get to see a tiger rolled around in a cage for 10 minutes, I think it was a good move lol.

The main reason we won't be able to have a tiger parade around the stadium is because some organization wants to feel empowered and have a voice....

Yes it has nothing to do with decisions made by veterinary staff wanting to minimize stress placed on a rare, majestic animal that is next to impossible to acquire by any means. It's all because of PETA and teh SJWs. That tiger better do what i want!

You dumb. The tiger could choose whether or not to go. Now he can't. You can't give these liberal cucks an inch.

You act like he was informed that he would be brought in front of 100,000 screaming people and then took time to sit and think before making a decision. His "decision" consisted entirely of whether or not to get in his cage.

Yeah no it isn't. Continue to think so if it fuels your rage-boner, though.

So Memphis and Texas and Colorado just don't give a shite about their animals?
