Dude do yall even see the problem with what yall are saying?

In one hand yall are saying Bama is going to be the hardest game of this stretch so we should have a cushion to lose it and in the other saying we will need to beat the TWO TEAMS THAT BEAT THEM in the most grueling part of our schedule after a demoralizing loss to a Bama team that is more than beatable.

I would much rather beat bama and have a cushion in the last 3 games.

Well someone will lose when Ole Miss plays A&M unless I missed something.

Not true. Bama needs help because of the Ole Miss loss. If they win out they are in Atlanta.

If Bama loses a second game then we can absolutely win the SEC west without beating them. Do you know how records work?

They just can't seem to see the irony of saying we can lose to bama but then will absolutely have to beat the two teams that beat them in addition to Arkansas.

Uhhh..this is completely wrong. We play at Bama and have A&M at home. We want Bama to have 2 losses and be eliminated. Very simple.

The cushion is there for Arkansas regardless of any other games, so that is moot, we're only talking about Ole Miss and A&M.

In a scenario where A&M loses to Bama this weekend, these are the following possibilities:
A&M beats Ole Miss, wins out, cushion against Ole Miss only
Ole Miss beats A&M, wins out, cushion against A&M only
Winner of A&M/Ole Miss loses to shitty team, cushion against both
Both lose to shitty teams (or the winner loses to a shitty team and thus becomes the shitty team that the loser lost against), cushion against both

There is no possibility in your scenario in which LSU has cushions against more than one good team; we would either have a cushion against the the TEAM THAT BEAT the team that we don't have a cushion against (which per your earlier logic is pointless), or we have cushions against two teams with recent losses to shitty teams (even more pointless). Whereas if A&M wins, we'll have potential for cushions against both Bama and Ole Miss/A&M.

It's not that I wouldn't like a 2-game cushion against everyone. It's just that if A&M or Ole Miss each have 2 losses before we play them it means they aren't that good, and if they don't have 2 losses then that means we have to beat them to win the West anyway.

In your scenario, WE STILL "absolutely have to beat" the better out of A&M and Ole Miss, and if Ole Miss wins we still "absolutely have to beat" both of them, unless they lose to some shite teams, in which case I'm not sure why you would be so scared of 2-loss A&M and Ole Miss but think 1-loss Bama is going to be a cakewalk.

Everything you just said is why it's already important we beat bama so we aren't one loss going into those games. So tell me again why you wouldn't want A&M to have one loss at the end of this weekend.

Because it's at home and we a match up much better against them.

In the end unless one of these teams slip up there will be very little room for error during this four week stretch. I would much rather beat Bama and be looking down on the rest of the sec west as opposed to losing to bama or even winning against a 3 loss bama and looking straight over at an A&M that beat bama as well. A&M losing to bama is the best chance of all the teams having 2 losses at the end of the season a&m loses to bama and ole miss drops one more of their games and we beat bama in that scenario we get in as a one loss team no matter what. That scenario though has to start setting up this weekend.

So if you knew we would beat bama you wouldn't want A&M to lose this one?

Keep in mind I've already laid out why I feel if we don't beat bama we are in trouble already . Since we will then play a physical Arkansas and travel to ole miss after what would be a heart breaking and physically taxing loss while ole miss will be coming off their bye week.

Doesn't really matter who wins. LSU will probably have to beat both teams to win the west
