No, your scenario is Alabama beats A&M, LSU beats Alabama, and A&M beats LSU. That results in a tie between LSU and A&M, which A&M wins by virtue of head to head tiebreaker. Or, your scenario is Alabama beats A&M, Alabama beats LSU, and LSU beats A&M. That results in a tie between LSU and Alabama, which we also lose due to head to head tiebreaker.

Your scenario ONLY works for us if we win out. If that happens, ANY scenario works. The only way this game matters to us at all is if we don't win out. A&M winning this game allows us a chance to win the division without having to win out.

It's down right disgusting to see people say a&m can beat us.

Look at their rushing defense. It's among the worst in the league. The game is at home.. LSU is vastly better this year.. and owns them in recent years.. 4-0 with the bowl win.

We are playing all of them regardless, so it's about your projection of each team against us. Rank the order of our opponents based on confidence to beat them. If Bama ranks at the bottom, then you should want them to lose on Saturday. If it's Aggy, you should want Bama to win.

I think most people realize we are more likely to beat Aggy by 3 TDs at home, then we are to leave Tuscaloosa with a win. That is why most people would prefer to see Bama out of it.

I don't care about your scenario.

The best scenario for LSU is:

aTm beats Bama
OM beats aTm
Arky/MSU beats OM
AU beats aTm

So, this weekend we need aTm to beat Bama.

That's not really what it boils down to though. The point of the discussion is what's the better scenario logically.

We also have to beat the refs, the SEC offices, and the pollsters when it comes to Bama.
NEVER. ROOT. FOR. BAMA.

You do realize that no poll determines the SEC Champ? It's about conference record and literally nothing else. There is no subjective element.

Nope. I NEVER pull for Bama and will be pulling for TAMU this weekend. When we beat them they will have 3 losses. If they only have 2 the CFB playoff committee will put them in as the 4th team just because they are Bama. I want them to have as many losses as they can have.

So we'd still need to win 2 of three out of Bama/Aggy/OM.

I'd much rather us have to beat Aggy/OM after this weekend, instead of Bama plus one of those.

Yes, yes we can. If Bama loses Saturday, they will have two losses.

If LSU beats everyone in the SEC except Bama, we will go to Atlanta.

So then your scenario is LSU wins out. In that case, who fricking cares what happens in the A&M-Alabama game? The only way that game can have any impact on us is if we don't win out. If we don't win out, the loss is much more likely to happen at Alabama than at home against A&M, so it's much better to have Alabama out of the picture than both of them still in it.

To be honest I think I would rather Bama win this weekend as well. The more I look at the schedule the more I think that if we are going to have the kind season we want it starts by beating Bama. In which case having had Bama hand the Aggies a loss is more important than my grudge against those Tusculosers.
