And? We got our fricking dicks pushed in in those 2 losses.

INCORRECT, we lost to the #1 team by less than a TD. Final score is all that counts. If anything other than the final score matters then Ole Miss shouldn't be in the top 10, after struggling against Memphis and Boise State.

probably put ole miss at 4 to make things more interesting when they play Auburn....hype it up a little cause they know one of them has to lose

Yes, I've always felt that if you beat the team in front of you then everything else takes care of itself. This initial rankings have me worried though.

The first rankings give me little faith. They're not subjective at all, and a part of me can't help but to think that they set the SEC West up to fail by cannibilizing itself in the process.

I think the biggest takeaway I got is that 10-25 are sort of a bundle that no one has separated themselves we still have one huge chance in bama to separate ourselves in that group and continue to impress with arky and a&m.

Did herbstreit really just say Ole Miss could have won the LSU game? I know, technically, they could have. The reality is they got stomped all over the field.

The percentage chance that they "could have won it@ is significantly lower than the percentage chance that we "could have beaten" MSU.

The selection committee also looks at who you've beaten over many other factors

LSU beat Ole Miss and that's it.

Yes LSU beat Wisconsin but Wisconsin also lost to Northwestern.
And LSU only beat the imploded Gators by 3.
Ranking is fair, IMO

The sad thing is being ranked so low they obviously didn't give us that much credit for beating ole miss. So if we are to beat bama by the same token we would jump, what, 3 spots??!?

Clearly the committee didn't watch the game last weekend. Wins against Wisconsin and Ole Miss must mean nothing.

So YOU are saying LSU deservers to be in the top 4??????

ding ding ding.

It's october man. None of this shite matters right now. Teams will begin to separate now that everyone is deep into conference play. Some people in here are just insanely butt hurt. Let the season play out.

So LSU beat a playoff team if it were decided today.

Getting disrespected should put a little chip on the shoulders of this Les Miles team.

This thread is about 2 weeks too early. The picture will be much clearer by the end of the year.

Peej, we agree for once

EVERYONE outside of LSU fans understand that the final score of that game is absolutely no indication of how the game was played. WE GOT OUR DICKS PUSHED IN. Confirmation came 2 weeks later.
