It matters in that the committee has shown their process of choosing a playoff is retarded. It doesn't matter what month it is. They chose Ole Miss to be in the playoff if the season were to end today. What team in that top four could Ole Miss beat, if the season were to end today, after their shitshow no less than four days ago?

Oklahoma lost to #7 and #9, beat #20, ranked #18.
Utah beat #22 and hasn’t played anyone else, ranked 17.
tOSU lost to fricking VT and hasn’t beaten anyone else, ranked #6

That's why they have OU over LSU.
This system won't be any better than the BCS. They should have just kept the BCS and taken the top 4.
Plus a myraid of other teams who have worse resumes that are ranked over LSU.

Then if you take that approach with that game theres no way Ole Miss should be at 4 after getting mauled up and down the field by a team ranked 24th. No way they should be in over Oregon

I never said I agree with Ole Miss being 4. However, it's fricking October...Ole Miss still has to play the meat of it's schedule and will likely lose this weekend anyway. EVERYTHING will clear itself up. You guys are over reacting..but it's not very surprising with this fanbase.
