No way Myles Brennan isn't redshirting. He might weigh 180. He needs to fill out for sure. SEC linebackers would break him.

If you think recruiting was the issue under the Miles regime, football isn't for you, and you should take up another hobby.

How so?? How is Narcisse the same mold as Harris and Jordan??

Because he
Lacks the

Conditioning to
Keep the job.

That would be my guess as to why he said that

Somewhere along the way someone convinced Miles to start recruiting quick and athletic linemen instead of size on both side of the ball. That along with the terrible QB recruiting since Perrilloiux and he might as well have filled out his letter of resignation 5 years ago.

You have a point there. I still would maintain that his refusal to update his stagnant offense was a much bigger factor.

I hope Narcisse gets himself ready too. I really want to see what he can do; the ceiling is high.

Freshman at this level struggle, period. But I think it's a myth that those struggles "ruin" QBs (or players). It may ruin coaches, or how they use a QB, but not the player.

Accept the fact it will be a struggle, use that as a learning tool.

Playmakers make plays. A QB has to be able to make plays which carries the team at times. To be risk adverse is to take opportunity away from both the player and the team. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

To me, it's mostly up to LN right now. He's putting in the work from what I hear. If he doesn't get discouraged at the lack of immediate success it will pay off. We'll all be better off with that.

Brennan is nowhere near 180lbs. He's been working with a weight and conditioning coach since his season ended and has packed in a lot of weight since. He's still going to redshirt and he should. Etling will start and do a good job. He's a lot more gifted than some of our fans give him credit for he's smart a constant worker and tough as nails. He had a fine season last year and should do better in the new offense. These insane fans who are overblowing a glorified practice using as basic a set of routes as possible don't know what they're taking about.

He's not getting hardly any reps with the ones, the lions share are gong to Etling. Plus he's not an under center ready player as of now, he struggles with it and the offense.

Brennan right now looks like Narcisse did as an 8th or 9th grader. He is nowhere near 200 lbs. At the UA game my guess is that he was about 185. When he stood next to Narcisse it looked like a kid standing next to a man.

Ive watched him all Spring. Has thrown 2nd most tds passes in scrimmages. Been in the endzone on the ground multiple times. Nothing to sneeze at. Mastered the offense right a away. This staff is not allowing the younger guys to jump ahead of older guys, at least at this point.

Ive seen multiple smart arse remarks like yours. All hes shown me throughout spring is that he's a gamer. Like LN, has suffered from lack of practice reps. See my prior scrimmage summaries.

Narcisse does have a lot in common with a young Harris.
Cannon for arm, pretty looking deep ball.
His inaccuracy and decision making will keep him from playing for a long time, I suspect.

Bottom line is is we are not going to beat Bama with DE, it takes a dual threat QB to win National Titles and that by far is not DE. We need a QB that is smart between the ears, that can throw and that can get out of the pocket and run if need be, All the Brennan pumpers need to sit down because the bean stalk is not going to come in and start this year and if he cant gain 40+ lbs by 2018 he wont start then either, LSJ can move and throw but his height limits him but he has Drew Brees to think about granted that is some major shoes to try and fit in and Lowell looks to be a man for being a true freshman, if lowell stays healthy i think he gets to call the plays, no we dont have any in game footage of LSJ or LN but for us to win we need a dual threat QB. Footage from Lowell and Lindsey high school career looks very good and they did not play at small nobody schools. Lets just hope and pray that one of these players steps up and takes DE job and can thrive at the QB position. The game was called soon as LSJ came in but i did see the pocket collapse on him and he escape for a 5-8 yard gain before being drilled by a linebacker

Just a thought, but Coach Canada has seen a lot of quarterbacks and has been very successful. I think that he wants the best QB he has on the field, his job depends on it. I don't know the best QB, but I think these LSU coaches will figure it out and put the best we have on the field, and whoever it is will be fine.

I agree. Right now both of these guys are getting the "you are just a freshman" treatment.

Etling is the guy and will be fine. He was forcing the ball to Chark Saturday night. I think as other playmakers emerge this will get better.
