Auburns offensive line looked very very weak last week against Jacksonville state. Jeremy Johnson won't make as many mistakes as he did last week, but with the pressure on him all game, let's hope he makes a couple. I would be willing to bet big that if he throws one interception, LSU wins. Our defense is too stout to give up any opportunities. We go from facing possibly the best QB in the SEC to possibly one of the worst QBs in the SEC.

The game plan we used for Miss St is perfect for this game. Run the ball at their weak defense. Let Auburn make mistakes. Dak played a perfect game against us and still lost at home. Don't go away from what's working to show that Harris can go for 250 yards. Let's leave that trick in the bag for Bama and Ole Miss.

I'll take an ugly SEC win any day.

Auburn had 4 starters on D out for that Jax St. game. If the main 2 of the injured guys can't go, Carl Lawson and Tray Matthews, it is gonna get ugly for my Tigers. If Les would let Brandon Harris run the read option LSU could probably run for about 400 yards on Auburn's defense.

JJ will throw 2 INTs to LSU DBs. They don't have the same rushing attack, if it's the OL or backs not sure but they aren't executing it like last two years. LSU understands what to do against Muschamp's Ds and this is probably his least talented LSU has faced.

Are they probable? What's the chance they play?

My thoughts are ...

They have lots of talent (more than miss at)
They have good coaching
They are embarrassed after last week
They were overlooking Jacksonville St.
We will play vs a challenged football team.
It's a rivalry game.

I don't know why our fans are so quick to chalk this game up as an easy win.

Interception prone QB playing our great defense and a running game that is easily top 5 in the nation. That's why

I'm just saying I doubt there is one coach on our staff that thinks auburn will be a pushover

way too early to think we've arrived or auburn is bad.

you've nailed coach miles game plan, though.

if Lawson is back, it will be tough for LSU. If not, look out. Aub dline has shown flashes of being very good. Nothing else on that defense is very scary.

The difference make will be if jj throws any ints, of if Harris throws any ints.

I expect the game to stay within a TD.

After watching most of the Auburn game Saturday, I'd say running the read option play a few times(about 20) might lead to some success.

Right, and trust me after all the negative comments on ESPN and elsewhere, they will be highly motivated to try and come in to Death Valley and win, but I say we will be ready as well. They will get their first loss Saturday afternoon!

The other play JSU killed Auburn with (besides the read option) is the quick slant, which I have seen us throw since 2013.

I don't know why you have to ALWAYS be a pessimistic, negative troll on this board. Do you remember what record you predicted that LSU would have this year? I do, I have it bookmarked. I'm sure you aren't feeling very comfortable about that prediction now.

Auburn has looked like garbage on both sides of the ball this year. The first game people gave them credit because they thought Louisville might be pretty good. That proved false. Jack State is Jack State...no sugar coating that one. The QB has not only made bad passes, but has made very bad decisions. He has yet to go into an atmosphere like he will find Saturday. Only thing better would be a night game.

That said, yes Auburn is talented. However, unless LSU plays like poorly in terms of penalties and turnovers, then I don't see any way that Auburn beats LSU.

Auburn is a talented team. They know that they haven't performed up to pre-season hype. They have athletes and good coaches. Muschamp is too good to not be working night and day on solving the read option problem.
Saturday will not be a walk in the park for LSU. I think LSU wins another close one which will certainly get the idiot chorus squaking again.

OP... Agree with most. Except we have 8 of last 10 years with similar pattern so we know there will be no "opening up" against anyone UNLESS... like last year vs Miss State, we are 3 TD's behind. I think we really do have one of the top 10 groups of receivers in the country. And I was not high on Harris until I saw the change in him in the game and in the way the passes were finding the receivers. His charge is to "Not Lose The Game". Everything we see, while incredibly frustrating to watch, is about not losing. The team that came out in the first quarter was not allowed to play for most of the second half. We will have all close games this year. And frankly a 11am kickoff in Syracuse the week after two SEC tilts is trap game city. Syracuse playing a premier SEC team at home where a win can make their season and frankly help them recruit bigger/faster/better. I think we eak out victory against Auburn, but it's plain to see the SEC west isn't what we thought it was. It's Syracuse that I think we trip up on... ala Jacksonville State and Toledo... And Syracuse is much better than both of those AND playing us at home.

The rushing attack is the one thing they are figuring out. Barber is the guy for that team. He appears to be a very tough runner of bowling ball mold. I know the level of competition is questionable but you can tell he's still a tough assignment.
