I don't know why you have to ALWAYS be a pessimistic, negative troll on this board. Do you remember what record you predicted that LSU would have this year? I do, I have it bookmarked. I'm sure you aren't feeling very comfortable about that prediction now.

Auburn has looked like garbage on both sides of the ball this year. The first game people gave them credit because they thought Louisville might be pretty good. That proved false. Jack State is Jack State...no sugar coating that one. The QB has not only made bad passes, but has made very bad decisions. He has yet to go into an atmosphere like he will find Saturday. Only thing better would be a night game.

That said, yes Auburn is talented. However, unless LSU plays like poorly in terms of penalties and turnovers, then I don't see any way that Auburn beats LSU.

What did he say that was inaccurate?

If you think Auburn will come out as flat as they have the first two games you must be joking. Think LSU vs Bama...well coaches teams will always play up to their competition.

This.
Auburn wasn't expected to win the West early because they're lacking talent. We need to run it down their throat, and hopefully Les will burn them when the box gets loaded. Of course, that will be from play 1, but after Buga gets rolling their coverage will become sloppy and Harris will hurt them with his arm AND feet.

If JJ is still struggling things will get rough for them, but he may come out a different qb and play good. I hope our secondary makes him pay dearly for any mistakes.
Will be a great game, but LSU will pull away quickly if the D can rattle JJ.

Auburn is a talented team. They know that they haven't performed up to pre-season hype. They have athletes and good coaches. Muschamp is too good to not be working night and day on solving the read option problem.
Saturday will not be a walk in the park for LSU. I think LSU wins another close one which will certainly get the idiot chorus squaking again.

First, we know what Muschamp likes to do. And Auburn's D is not Florida's D. Second, we're the only team that has truly been tested in the SEC West so far.

My concern would be that now the defense will see hurry-up early and often because of how they played against Miss St. late.

The key is if you can disrupt that offense via turnovers and negative yards, then they Gus will slow the offense down. That's his flaw.

The game plan we used for Miss St is perfect for this game.

I disagree for these reasons:

1) auburn's hurry up will wear our our defense in the second half
2) despite their slow start auburn is a better football team than msu, sans the qb position
3) historically, auburn seems to gel by the time our game arrives, esp at the qb position. in the second half, if our D again tires, the auburn qb will get his mo back. I've seen this many times
4) our punting sucks. it is not good enough to play field position football and is likely to cost us a score in this game.

i'm not advocating an air assault but I am advocating making first downs and keeping our D off the field as much as possible. muschamp's a good coach and you can bet he'll defend against the run first. we need to go ahead and let harris throw the ball.

Auburn is gonna come out on fire. The best way to come back from almost losing to a nobody team is to win a conference game win. Against LSU nonetheless. I think LSU will win it but not by much. Another nail biter. 28-24

His previous post is spot on and isn't negative at all. I think his 21 upvotes is a reflection of that. Not sure why you're so bitter

This statement is absurd. Recently the games between these 2 reams have been nailbiters fought to the bitter end for the most part regardless of how each team has fared in previous games

they don't have a qb....and their defense is bad. Think reverse situation of last year, early in the season. Does Auburn have talent? Of course. Did LSU have talent last year? Of course. Auburn has NO QB...and they have injuries on a defense that isn't that good to begin with. I'll stand by what I said. If LSU plays a solid game, they beat Auburn handily. Only way Auburn stays in the game is if LSU commits costly penalties or turnovers.

You are trying to build an argument based upon the name Auburn, and the perceived talent. If you have watched them play, well...there is no talking to people like you.

So did you decide instead of being the overly optimistic idiot last year that you're going to be the obnoxiously pessimistic idiot this year?

ETA: I see you're riding both sides this year apparently.

Bitter? For one, he is a pos poster that is always slamming LSU. That's a FACT. Secondly, I'm not bitter. What was spot on is that Auburn has talent...which I agreed with. Other than that, there is nothing auburn has done or shown this year that indicates they are a competitive SEC team. It's one thing to just have a bad game. Auburn has some real problems right now. It's not uncommon for them to have TERRIBLE years.

that's simply not true, and I'm not going to even bother posting the previous scores. LSU has dominated Auburn overall for a while now....some games close, yes, but you are wrong here. Auburn has major issues. The only chance they have is if LSU giftwraps the game by penalties/turnovers. There is a reason Auburn tumbled about 10 points in the polls, and it's not just the close game against Jack State....I've never seen a team tumble so far without losing.

uh, excuse me?

Last year after the Auburn game, when everyone was predicting that LSU would go 0-8 or 1-7 in the SEC, at best....I simply said they would still finish with 8 or 9 wins....and of course I got slammed.

This year I think LSU has the best team in the SEC. You tell me where they are lacking at. BH is light years ahead of where we were last year at QB. Will they finish there, who knows. Are they capable of winning it all? Well, there is a reason that Vegas has LSU in the top 10 in terms of odds of winning it all...and that some of the more respected guys have predicted LSU to be in the mix. The funny thing is that I'm a Miles supporter, unlike most on here. However, he is not above criticism. If he continues to coach like he did in the second half, then no, we won't end up in the mix. If he lets his team play to their capability....then this team could be special. So if you think that's obnoxiously pessimistic...more power to you little kid.....also, show me where I'm riding both sides? Perhaps you have me confused.

My thoughts are ...

They have lots of talent (more than miss at)
They have good coaching
They are embarrassed after last week
They were overlooking Jacksonville St.
We will play vs a challenged football team. I
t's a rivalry game.

I don't know why our fans are so quick to chalk this game up as an easy win.

THIS. Auburn is always a tough matchup vs LSU. Expect another close one.

I don't like the offensive balance so frick off...its a message board to discuss LSU football. And yes I do troll some of the "miles can do no wrong posters". When a thread is started to discuss anything yall will jump in and ruin the thread to defend him even if the thread isn't meant to put him down.

No...I usually don't make predictions. Tell me what I predicted please...show me the exact post.

I'm sure you aren't feeling very comfortable about that prediction now.

Only thing I may have predicted is what we will win over/under...still want to see the post though. You act like I want LSU to suck...once again please show me one post that I say I want LSU to be bad or to fire CLM...one post.

I haven't watched Auburn. I was just giving my feeling on their team as a whole based on talent and how they played last week. How me saying what I said is negative in any way towards LSU shows how fricking paranoid and delusional you are about my post...chill out and quit inferring things...if I think something negative I will clearly spell it out for you.

Just show me where I said I thought we would lose please. I just basically said "damn our fans sure are taking Auburn lightly"
