My thoughts are ...

They have lots of talent (more than miss at)
They have good coaching
They are embarrassed after last week
They were overlooking Jacksonville St.
We will play vs a challenged football team.
It's a rivalry game.

I don't know why our fans are so quick to chalk this game up as an easy win.

This.

This!!! I wouldn't piss on an Auburn fan if they were on fire, but to think they aren't capable of winning on Saturday is asinine.

Yep. Better strap it on and bring it. Aubie out for blood. Whether they are War Eagles or Tigers, you know what happens when you underestimate a wounded animal.

We are hurting on offense and defense atm.

On offense, Avery Young is not certain to play (was not on Oline this week), Jovon Robinson has something going (seems dubious it is that ankle, but that is what the coaches claim)

On defense we just lost Holsey for the season, Lawson is iffy to make the trip to LSU, Matthews is day to day as is Garret.

All that being said, this is typically a good, hard fought game. Last year was not typical.

Hopefully no one from other team suffers serious injuries.

Did you say this in 2009, 2011, and 2013 as well? People want to use the excuse that Auburn was looking ahead and Auburn will wake up, rivalry game, blah, blah, blah. What about the revenge factor for LSU? LSU was embarrassed last year, one of the worse losses in recent memory. Do you want to know how many times the winner of this game has won it by 2 or more TDs this century? Eight times. So in reality, it could be close, it could be an easy win. Rivalry doesn't mean even games every year. This isn't even a rivalry game to most people.

Case in point, we lose to Auburn 31-7 in 2002, in 2003 we beat them 31-7.

Now I don't predict a 34 point win, but IF (IDGAF how you feel about ifs), we play a balanced style of attack, we win this game easily. LSU has just as much motivation, and some would say, even more, to beat the dog shite out of Auburn.

Auburn hadn't fared well vs miles and haven't won in TS this millennium. They gave us one n 05 I believe. The FG game. But miles could just as easily be 3-7 not 7-3. Always close. It was at JH but they about derailed our season with a winless team (conf play) in 2011 I think. It's not mystery to anyone who's played sports at the HS level all the way to NFL that any team can play down to inferior opponents sometimes. I've experienced it and if anyone who reads this has played they know all about it. Many teams are better than ppl think as well. At the end of the day auburn coming to Death Valley to play Lsu is gonna motivate auburn a little more than nobody state. Different team will show up Saturday.

Could also just as easily been 9-1 as well, let's not do this.

Since 2009, 4 of the last 6 matches have been won by at least 14 points, and half, 21 points.

It was 2012, but that showed us the problems we had that year in the passing game, and blocking. It was the start of Mett's 4 game SEC stretch, where he completed less than 56% of his passes and completed less than 45% the last 3 games of that stretch. He averaged 46.2%, 143 yards, and 5.39 ypa with 1 TD and 2 ints over that 4 game span. They had the bye week, figured some stuff out, and then the passing game was much better the rest of the regular season.

I just can't see Harris playing that badly. He isn't a stone in the pocket like Mett, he has actually had quality QB coaching 2 offseasons straight, he has talented and experienced pass catchers for days, and from his comments of checking out of pass plays, he's not near the gunslinger either.

Yeah playing down to an inferior opponent I get, but do you understand just how bad they've played not 1 week, but 2 weeks in a row? You don't just play down to your competition both games out of the gate. That's the stuff that happens after you've gotten a few games into the year. Happening this early usually signifies that something is really wrong. Something is wrong with that team. Houston beat Louisville, and Auburn looked awful against an FCS team. LSU has had off games against FCS teams, but still beat them by 2 TDs or more. I think people are trying to baby their situation. Had this been LSU, it would have been some crazy doom and gloom shite.

Using that logic, is Miss St not one of those teams? Did LSU
actually look more impressive than initially thought? If you're gonna go that route, then wouldn't beating a better than we thought Miss St team at their house game one, with no prior game to work out the kinks, with penalties galore and controversial refs, and zero passing game past early in the second quarter, make LSU even way better than they seem?

And will it not also motivate LSU to do more? I mean Auburn is the team that stomped a mudhole in the collective assholes of the LSU football team. Now they come to our house in a home opener. You don't think guys like Harris and Fournette, and the OL, and the entire defense isn't ready to get revenge on being embarrassed last year? Tiger Stadium could make it very bad for Jeremy Johnson.

Different team will show up Saturday.

Could be the same damn team we've seen ya know? People want to disregard those games as "playing down to competition" when in fact, maybe, juuuust maybe, Auburn sucks donkey balls. I saw no reason at all over the offseason why they should be better than last year, and now, they look worse than what I initially thought they'd be.

They'll likely correct some of what's ailing them, but I wouldn't bank on it til after their bye week.

well which is it dumbass. You were on here saying a few weeks ago that Auburn had a MUCH better offense than LSU and that they would be too explosive for LSU to handle and that they had a clear QB advantage....remember? When we questioned your supreme knowledge on just how did you know that JJ would be better.....your response....GUS. This is the game you said LSU couldn't win.

Please gtfo of the LSU prediction game....you are bad luck...real bad luck...and with you saying this is going to be a close game...it's almost a synch that LSU blows Auburn out. Please, just gtfo if you are truly an LSU fan (which I don't believe). You know you are horrible at predicting....and everyone else knows it....please...I'm asking nicely...no more picking LSU to win ANY game.....

BTW I asked you the other day IF LSU should Fire LES,Cause by what you saw last week he can't coach the talent he has cause we didn't beat MSU by 3 td's.... SO>>>>>>>>> According to you Miles should be fired right????

And you say I am NOT an LSU fan.........
