"This is the LSU Invitational."

- USC coach Mike Gillespie, about the 1998 CWS

(Of course, we didn't win that year, his team did.)

ok it wasn't Bryant it was Greg I think. Excuse me for making a mistake.
Some of you folks remind me of Tulane fans. Make a mistake and they're quick to correct you.

You got the year wrong, too, fastball. It was 2000. That's why I had to be an arse. It's all in fun. Sheesh.

*LSU didn't play on CBS at anytime in '97 except for Bama game.

I gotta say I HATED the color guy for the 2000 Championship Game. He was a PAC 10 homer and at the moment LSU wins, he's talking about how disappointing it is for Stunford and nothing about the thrill of victory for the Tigers.

He also BUTCHERED the LSU players names.

Anybody remember who that was?

"Tulane's got an interesting team."

George W. Bush - visiting with Harold Reynolds in the pressbox at Rosenblatt - 2001.

This is the game where they ended up blowing it against Stanford.
