I'd rather lose a game early and then beat bama, IF that were the options. Given that there is no way to determine this prior to the game, I'd rather LSU be undefeated going into Bama...then take our chances.

Either way, I think we go to Bama and win this year... Bama is gonna be like the 2010 Bama team.........

Just a thought.

What happens if we go undefeated until Bama. Lose to Bama; if Bama is 8-3; and we win out, we still going to Buckhead!

We have had no problem winning in Starkville over the years. I believe we put 250 on the ground be moo state and win 31-21. Aubbie in same boat not much more experience at QB than we are and a New DC. They haven't beat us in TS since 99. I don't think aubbie can stop our run game either and Harris will be better on 3rd down to do what miles wants and that's own Top... I could see auburn jumping out on us but redzone D keeps us in it. We will own the 2nd half and oline and LF dominates. LSU 33-30. LSU 3/0 after auburn.

With the playoffs in place now, every game is pivotal.

The 1st one.

BH to take the reins as the leader and perform in a manner that leads no doubt as to who our QB is.

Disappointing but I actually think LSU is ok starting 1-2. Still very realistic to be 6-2 going into that final 4 game stretch.

If we lose in Starkville and to Auburn at home then the wheels could fall off..

Serious question. If this team goes 7-5 does Les get the boot?

Nope....They would give him at least one more year... IF then he goes 8-4 or 7-5...he would be gone... You don't pay $4 mil for records like that......

Sure but I don't see that happening.
LSU could get to Bama 8-0 and end 8-4. Winning those early games definitely sets this team up for a special season but they won't define it. The 4 game stretch to end the season will.

My gut tells me he doesn't survive a 7-5 regular season but I think it depends how the games play out.

Actually, with the playoffs in place, the games are LESS pivotal. There are more openings now, when there were only two you needed almost perfection during the regular season. OSU wouldn't have made the BCSCG game in years past. More slots, less regular season perfection required. All you have to do is look at the NFL for that, 8-8 teams make the playoffs.

I see where you're going with the Auburn pick but imo, Bama is still the biggest game on the schedule. AU is a close second. Look at it this way. If we win, then there's a decent chance both us and bama meet with 0 or 1 loss which makes it a huge national status game. If we lose then bama will be a near must win if we want in for the SECCG. Either way, it makes bama game biggest one on schedule right now.

Sorry if this doesn't jive with your opinion, bro. Just a discussion.

I agree. On the field and for recruiting purposes, the streak needs to be snapped.
