1990 vs USC.
The Trojans were crushing everyone. Games were close until Rich Cordani hit a late inning home run to put the Tigers ahead for good.

1990 vs USC. Lost to them on a squeeze in the winners bracket final. Beat them twice in a row sandwiched around a 20 hour tornado delay. Cone from behind 8th inning homer by Cordani.

1997 Long Beach State in losers bracket final. Extra innings.

I forgot to add that one as well. Am I remembering right that game didn't end to almost midnight. I remember that that regional had a ton of rain delays.

The correct answers. LSU had lost to USA and were facing elimination. If that team hadn't at least reached the CWS, it would have been an epic failure.

Then the opening game in Omaha was a nail biter. Think Wes Davis? robbed Lance Berkman of a pretty big home run.

USC regional. We were sitting in the outfield & everybody was giving Jacque Jones hell; of course he would trot back out with a big smile after he homered. At the end of the game, everyone in the outfield gave him a standing ovation. He was pretty cool about it all.

Most intense "game" was more of an intense "pre-game"; the season opener after the summer we lost Wally. That was tough.

Don't feel like researching for specifics, but the super regional in old Alex Box vs Baylor game 3. Think it was 2003 After losing game 1, squeaked away in game 2. Then the offense EXPLODED in game 3, ran Baylor out of pitching and easily won the series.

If I remember correctly, we hit back-to-back-to-back dingers in that game. Been a while though.

Tigers - Texas in Omaha, game three, CWS. We sat right behind the plate. About 23-24,000 in attendance. Purple & Gold filled the stands easily 2-1. It was electric, fan excitement was building as Tigers poured on the runs against the Longhorns. When Coleman threw the last pitch, it was magic in Omaha! Team stayed around for what seemed like hours signing autographs & taking pictures.....tops on my list!

Game 1 was way better and more intense in game 3 imo.
Seemed like a little lighter attendance in game 3. Like people were too tired by then.

Last years SEC tourney elimination game vs Alabama ranks right up there.

I was there too and surrounded by Bammers as I was on the first base side. They were cheering as though they beat us prematurely. They can say they dont care about baseball but its bullshite. They want to beat us bad.

I believe it was Tyler Moore that tied it up with a 2 out double and then scored the go ahead the next AB.

Sad faces at regions that day, lol.

LINK

I was also at the 11 inning Vandy game for the title and that was intense.
