one of mine was long beach state maybe 1997 coming thru losers bracket on a late Saturday night game - the skipper got thrown out the game arguing with blue - and lsu stormed back to win the regional.
per wiki.
In the South I Regional, LSU lost the winner's bracket final to South Alabama, meaning the team had to win three games within 24 hours in order to advance to the College World Series. The Tigers won a five-hour game against Long Beach State, 14–7 in 11 innings, in which Bertman was ejected in the eighth inning for arguing a balk call. LSU then defeated South Alabama 14–4 and 15–4 to advance to the World Series.

USC's bid to return to the College World Series for the first time in 16 years ended Sunday with a 12-10 loss to defending national champion Louisiana State in the South Regional at Baton Rouge, La. Scott Schultz struck out first baseman J.P. Roberge with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning to preserve LSU's victory and send the Tigers to the College World Series for the seventh time in nine years. USC's loss spoiled the performance of Trojan outfielder Jacque Jones, who hit three two-run homers. The Trojans, who had 14 hits, finished 41-20. "I think if we had been at two different regionals, we both would have been in Omaha," said LSU second baseman Todd Walker, an All-American who hit two home runs Sunday and was named most valuable player of the regional.

I remember there was a rain delay somewhere in the usc or maybe just a delayed start - anyway we were in tiger stadium drinking a few beers and delayed our getting back to the ballgame when we attempt to cross Nicholson we see a baseball tumbling across Nicholson.

This is the only acceptable answer. Really both games, but game 2 was absolutely insane. IMO, that game ranked as high as most football games in terms of intensity and emotion.

Those 6 team Regionals were the shite. And yes the USC battles are things of lore. All people talk about is Jacques Jones and rightfully so, but Geoff Jenkins and Aaron Boone could rake as well.

Florida I think it was 2 years ago. Katz hits a grandslam to put us up 1 or 2 then Rhymes hits a solo shot the next at bat. It was insane, loudest that ball park has ever been in my opinion.

Last year's SEC Championship game vs Vandy. Some great plays to keep us tied going into extra innings.

was not there but yes a very exciting and emotional series. was fuming when DJ L was called out on the hidden ball trick when he clearly got back to the bag and the ump wasnt even looking...also snapped our 23ish game winning streak.

Game 2 was unreal with the comeback we had.

Then gorilla ball in game 3 scoring 21 runs. wow i miss those times. that was college baseball.
