This is true. While I do wish he could have gotten more of a signing bonus, he has a choice.

I assume you’re referring to what he’d make in the minors, since the 2023 minimum MLB salary is 720K.

Actual salary in the minors is about enough to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches 3 meals a day. AAA is better but you don’t really make any real money until you hit the bigs

I’m not sure what you guys think Minor Leaguers make, but it’s really not very much.

Idk what his signing bonus was, slot was $165k, but minor league guys aren’t paid very much. $20k a year is not out of the ordinary.
