After watching the same thing.

Seriously, you people are hilarious.

OL needs fixing without question. Receivers need to catch the ball.

Take away two fluke fumbles and Mett played a great game even with all those things going against him.

Kept his cool in a crazy arse stadium environment for his first SEC road game.

We've got a gamer at QB for the first time since Matt Flynn.

He'll be more prepared for Florida now and other teams that can beat us if we're not on our A game.

I'm actually not a fan of the stache though. You're the leader of a national contender. Look the part!!

4-0

Receivers need to get open and we need to open the passing game. 9 in the box running is ridiculous.

Agreed.

The first one wasnt even a huge deal. It was the second one in our territory.

Yep

I would agree. I do think that it will take an A game to beat Bama and SC. UF maybe A- or B+.

Reminds me of the people on Saints Talk who thought the defense looked good in the preseason when the 1st stringers were getting gashed by the likes of Blaine Gabbert and the Jags.

You can't just take those away and excuse them, they happened and both of them happened due to the offensive line.

In the SEC against good teams, you have to score touchdowns in the red zone. Kicking field goals or, God forbid, a turnover in the red zone can mean the difference between a victory and a loss against SEC teams. They have got to play turnover-free in the redzone to beat FL, SC and AL.

Not blaming mett outside of taking care of the ball. Again, look at Brees. If u don't have time to throw the ball u r screwed.

Yeah, I knew when we had to keep two running backs in the backfield to help block a five man rush against an average defense, that we are in for a long, and potentially heartbreaking season.

Not sure who he threw it to but he was about to pull the ball down then found an open reciever in the face of a oncoming defender....that was very impressive. I haven't seen that in a long time.

Well, I'm not certain that anyone honest and objective could disagree with the following conclusions:

(1) Pass protection atrocious;

(2) WR's dropped balls and didn't consistently separate;

(3) Run blocking erratic;

(4) Critical turnovers;

(5) Playcalling rote and questionable, especially where we repeatedly ran directly into nine man fronts;

(6) Defense incredible, save for one or two missed coverages (thank God Frazier overthrew McCalleb);

(7) We beat a 1-2 18 point underdog by a measely safety. Not a great night. Sloppy.

Thankfully, we won, so it's all immaterial as long as we improve.

Turning the ball over in the red zone isn't a fluke when it becomes a trend, and that is what is happening this year. Mett needs to tighten his game up some. Throwing the pass in the 4th quarter into triple coverage is another example.
