One other little point, when the Moo U head coach saw what was happening, some starters began re-entering the game.

LSU only got that close because MSU started clearing their bench too early.

I agree that coaching is to blame. A coach who gets paid millions ought to have some idea of what to do if his game plan proves ineffective. There is a saying in the military that the best plans never survive first contact. Same thing with football. After 2-3 possessios, our highly paid staff should have realized that the Power I was not working when the MSU front 7 was blowing up our OL. Chavis deserves th same criticism.

Why does Les and his staff keep doing things that don't work. He learned nothing from 21-0. Even more curious, why do some fans defend it as a strategy? Its the lack of strategy.

wow, another its never the head coach losses a game moron. So, here are two things that your genius head coach forgot to look up before he started the so called "preparation" for this game. Miss St.'s front 7 was named the SEC defense of the week three times coming into this game. Also, their secondary was the #2 worst in the conference. Yet, in his great knowledge and unparalleled ability to scheme and game plan, we come out in two tight end sets one wide receiver the first two possessions and get nothing. Guess the players just didn't follow the game plan correctly.

They are older men with guaranteed huge sums of money in long term contracts, its only human nature to lose the edge. Way to many fundamental problems for it to not be coaching
Saban isn't human by the way.

I personally liked the series before half time. You know, after a defensive stop and a timeout, running the ball, letting 20+ seconds run and then calling a timeout with 3 seconds left to call a screen pass. Some points there wouldn't have done anything for us at the end of the game...

Miles' ego is a detriment to this team. 2 tight ends and a full backfield from the three. 5 tries (4 runs up the middle) and no TD. Miles' broke his own teams will.

I get it that some posters are upset, but there's plenty to bitch about without making stuff up.

There were 3 passes on the 2nd drive, all complete The Vadal PF and 22yds for 1st down changed the D and AJ checked down underneath.
For the others bitching about run, run, run, punt, there were 18 actual attempts in 1st half. Quite a few if you know a little football, and right about 50/50 R/P selection.

The OL was manhandled, much WR drops, sacks, hurries, etc, and said pass attempts just weren't executed.

I started multiple threads last night saying this and Miles apologists kept saying it's not the QB.

Then when Miles is forced to change quarterbacks we come back in 3 minutes and are one catch from a win and his apologists STILL say "it's not the quarterback"

Hannagrif and Risher pretty much laid the loss solely at the feet of the coaches, Chavis included. It's become apparent that Jennings isn't the answer at QB. I just don't understand why we wasted an entire half trying to set up an offensive scheme that wasn't going to work. Everybody knew that Moo State's weakness on defense was their secondary, yet we stubbornly refused to take advantage of it until we were forced to, just like in the Wisconsin game.

So…you disagree with me…I guess? :roll eyes: I'm sorry, Les coached a brilliant game, that stellar group of five star athletes from Starkville was just too much for even a mastermind like Les Miles.

P.S. I actually love Les. I will gladly trade the occasional dumpster fire like we saw last night for the overall entertainment value.
What is wrong with you?

There was blame to go all around and State did actually play well. However, I don't remember a bunch of dropped passes. One or two maybe... I saw a bunch of passes that were way off though.

FIFY

They sucked at their jobs on Saturday night. Of course, when it comes to the offense, that's nothing new with Miles.

This. Why can't we just credit MSU for a well-deserved victory? Not a lot of teams would have beaten them last night.

No one is saying they didn't. But LSU made it pretty fricking easy for them.

Nah, that was MSU making it hard for LSU. You can admit it and move on. Just a fun game.

Wow, you are a serious Kool-Aid addict! Running the ball up the middle for three quarters on first down when you have had zero success, and having hours and hours of video showing you that this is one of the worst secondary groups in the SEC is very, very bad coaching. It is stubborn, arrogant coaching. My wife, who thinks football should be outlawed, was predicting the plays. This was a team that was thoroughly unprepared for this game on offense and defense, that is on the head coach.
Why are you like this?

UUUHHH, because what he is saying is the truth and factual. It is piss poor coaching at its best. MSU gave up 400 passing to UAB and they have a great DL and best lineman in the country. What does Les do, pound it up the middle for 3.8 quarters for 3 points!!!
