I would rather the booing now then next week versus Florida where ESPN and all national reporters would focus on the boos and make it into a bigger deal then it is.

without question, getting JJ in the game early against UK was effective in addressing this inevitable issue in a low-visibility situation. The next several games against FLA, TENN, AUB and Bama will all get significantly more national coverage and having it happen in those games would have been a much bigger thing. Now it is dealt with and the healing and moving on phase can occur when we need it to - prior to this stretch of games.

It will be alright, just like a band aid being taken off. It sting for a bit, but now the process of moving on can occur.

As long as JJ is alive & on the team he will still be Les's boy.

Highly evident this is the case, yet give Miles credit for sticking with what has been working while finding a way to integrate his favorite JJ back into the line-up, cause the team with Lee and JJ is better than the team with just one or the other of them, so it was smart to get this going against UK as we head into the harder SEC stretch when we will now have the rust knocked off a bit.

Didn't read the whole thread, but I agree with this.
The genius part was putting him in to run the QB sneak for a TD. It changed the boos to cheers and defused the situation. Another deft touch was calling only run plays.

Miles is a psychic. Why else do you think he goes for it on 4th downs. Because he knows we are gonna convert. Instead of the mad hatter he should be the wizard. He actually just hides his crystal ball in his hat.

Miles had a plan - agreed
Miles has strokes of genius - agreed
This move required genius - not so much.

This was a fastball down the middle for CLM.

well he also knew on the 1 yard line, JJ would stick it in.. who would boo a TD?

ETA: I obviously didn't read the entire thread before posting what was already said.

If miles is such a genius why did he blow the ole miss game, why did he nearly blow the tenn game? Why the frick did he hire 2 dumbass defensive coordinators? If lee is this good why was he on the bench all of last year ? Why is miles 8-8 vs sec opponents the last few years? I like miles, but to say he is genius just godam ignorant.

Does anyone feel an individual is getting put ahead of the team? If you ask any coach on any level if they had a 5-0 team ranked #1 in the nation and you're playing good on both sides of the ball, if he would tinker with a position as important as the QB. I bet the house 100% would say of course not. If any response to this is that: he was our started for the last 2 years and it was unfair what happened to him, then you've put the individual before the team also.

i respect this thread... haters gon' hate

Tigers need all the support we as fans can give them... starting all this talk and bs is just one more distraction we're putting on the team... trust me. For once fans need to give Miles the benefit of the doubt and lay off as long as we're ranked #1 in the nation... i think that deserves respect

and for years teams have won with just one QB.

This.... I agree it was a good thing to do last week, dont know if I agree with all in depth atom splitting you say went on in CLM head....

It never has been all about the QB this season, he just needs to not lose the game, with our special teams and Def.... we pound the ball and pass some... we will win, I dont agree we need JJ to win... Lee could do what he has been doing and we would be fine.. JJ does add a wrinkle, but dam.... if ever does throw the ball!! who knows!!

Yep...Miles was indeed a genius. Got the boos all out of the way, and not one occured on national tv against the Gators
