I don't get this thought.

If anything, these past 2 weeks proved that Miles is anything but untouchable. He came really, really close to being fired. Miles thought he was gone but got saved at the 12th hour.

Why would Miles think he is untouchable now? Because he got saved this time? That doesn't make any sense. Why would he think he would be saved again?

Why would he not think "if I don't fix this I'm definitely out next year"?

Too much logic. Won't fly here.

Because he's stubborn.

Les Miles knows he's coaching for his job in 2016. That's the furthest thing from untouchable I can imagine.

You don't think his ego took a hit these past 2 weeks?

Miles has one season to fix his mess. LSU will likely get a new AD since Alleva ran the brand name through the mud. New AD will not make same mistake.

if he doesn't change (he is more stubborn than dinardo) he still gets paid and gets a huge buyout...maybe he wants to retire...but wants the buyout money.

If Alleva is fired, this will be a true statement. The next AD will be fully aware that his predecessor lost his job going after Miles.

Whether or not there is a staff overhaul will tell the story.

Because basically the three people higher than his boss on the totem pole came out in his favor in a power struggle. Listen to his post game. He basically spiked the football on Alleva's sack. Because F'ing Alexander wants his poormouth narrative, he undercut the only practical check on Miles. The guy that was almost fired for offensive ineptitude then came out and said that he doesn't see the need for an overhaul.

If he couldn't be fired this year because asking donors for money makes it seem like the University isn't poor, why will that be different next year? You think 15 mill is different than 12?

He doesn't feel any pressure. He was willing to accept a 15 million dollar settlement and go out with his head held high.

Now I'm sure he's relieved he has his job but I don't think he is now about to install an air raid. He's may make a change at OC and Special Teams but we know, he knows and all of the SEC knows exactly how the offense will look under him.
