Miles totally buried Lee after the Bama game and rode his boy JJ. There was no "2 qb system" starting with the WKU game. That first half vs UGA was pathetic. Yet, Miles saw no reason to give Lee a shot until it was time to take a knee.

Some thanks for the guy that saved Miles job in 2010, and kept the season afloat for the first 8 weeks of 2011.

Thank for your post. It was then I knew I could not trust or respect him ever as LSU's coach (i.e. not without some explanation, and as we all know, he gave none and none transpired). The coach threw a wrench is what was a looking like an offense finally clicking.

If it takes 5-7 years for your opinion to be proven right, that doesn't mean you were right all along.

What part of winning 1 NC from the years 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 doesn't already show you we were right all along? The most players in the NFL. The most talent wasted ever. Your blind loyalty to Miles is above LSU. Mine, and many others is to LSU.

We know LSU should have won more than 1 NC. It took a miracle for LSU to even get there in 2007. I wonder what all you Miles lovers would say without the trump card from 2007? What if Dixon didn't go down or the Pitt/WVU fiasco?

It was one of the better offenses in Miles tenure, and produced the best W-L record, and yet he decided to revamp it mid season

I will say, I distinctly remember being extremely baffled by Les bringing Lee in to take a knee while Jefferson celebrated on the sidelines. My living room was not exactly pleased at that gesture. But regardless, I can't blame Miles for riding Jefferson after the Bama game.

He did no such thing. Lee was a coward who had to be benched. Bama exposed him, and there was no way to hide it after that.

Twas a head scratcher.

Just like Lee only got to take a knee in the Cotton Bowl following the 2010 season. In his home state nonetheless. It is undeniable how Lee bailed us out several times in 2010.

I have never gotten over 1/9/12 either. He never tried to win that game not even an attempt at any change or substitution. What hurt me as much as taking away Jaret Lee's successful season and winning the NC is that he always sent him in on the last offensive play to kneel the final play. What message is that exactly sending to Jaret Lee and us as fans. It's my way or no way.

Thanks for getting the Miles/Lee comparison

So we all agree, time for Miles to go. Amirite? Just like Lee?

Which would not be you, because Miles has not turned this thing around as you have anticipated for 4 the last years

No, I'm glad for this post. To this day, Miles has not explained that inexplicable switch from JL to JJ. JL was proving to be a gamer and gaining confidence, not to mention on a winning streak. What kind of football coach does that to a player, his team, and the fans?

Many never trusted Miles since.

He needs to go. He's gotten his nestegg at the expense of the LSU Nation. Time to go.

So the 8-0 he led LSU to and being the #12 most efficient QB in the country up until then didn't matter eh? JJ did come in and win that game against Bama. But Lee deserved the opportunity to play the next few games. He certainly should have gotten a shot on 1/9. WTF could he have done worse?

So when was it the right time to fire him? Keep in mind that you have to remove every year after that when looking at his resume.

Eta
I also expect a pre-2011 answer, since that is what was said in the post I responded to.
