and I, for one, appreciate the karma

JL took LSU to an 8-0 record on the way to a BCS spot, yet Miles took the first opportunity to supplant him when he struggled against Bama

. . . . then JL never saw the field again. Even tho he had posted a perfect record up to that point

Obviously Miles felt that going forward, he needed a change in order to keep winning

But now Miles wants to use his 110 wins as the reason he should to continue to lead this team. However, he was unwilling to allow JL the opportunity to right the ship. So it now appears that Alleva is taking that same page from Miles' very own playbook.

. . . . make a change when you see the first signs of struggle, because someone else gives us the best chance to win

It's been nearly 4 years since 1/9/12. Let it go man. Let it go.

You should add that Jarrett Lee perhaps saved Les Miles job in 2010 by leading us to come from behind victories against Tennessee and Florida. He also was the only qb of the two that played against McNeese St that year to lead the team to scoring drives. Yet, as soon as the other qb showed the smallest of signs of life, Lee was banished to watching from the sidelines for the entire game.

2010 was perhaps more important for Les Miles than 2011, because Miles got a contract renewal after the 2010 season when Michigan was once again looking for a coach.

Yet our head coach still has a way of making us all remember what a great offensive coach he is.

Unfortunately the scenario has played out just as I predicted it would

If accurate predictions makes one a shitty poster then . . . .

Every time I hear how great of a person Miles is, I wonder, "I'm sure Jarrett Lee would have a different take." He should have been the starter from October 2010 forward when he led LSU's comeback win the swamp against Florida. But Miles stubbornly stuck with an ineffective Jefferson.

Don't kid yourself. Miles always looks out for Miles. When the offense plays bad, its execution. When he clearly signaled for Jefferson to spike the ball in Oxford, it wasn't his fault. The list just keeps on going. It was not until yesterday's post game press conference, when his fate had finally bee sealed, did he finally admit the offense needs adapting. Prior to that he gave the same BS response about we just need better execution.

i agree. as good of a guy as miles appears to be, he shite all over jarret lee. he also negotiated a new extension or raise what seems like every other year every time there was fart about an opening in the wind.

it may or may not be right to fire miles at the moment, but i think alleva has been waiting for this day a long time.

i have personally wanted miles fired since 1/9/12. all he had to do was make a game of it and the ap would have given us a share of the natty. i've wanted him fired every year. he may lose like a buffoon, but he wins like a buffoon too.

i wish him the best and i like him more or less, but i'm glad to see him go. all you people who think miles is some kinda saint need to open your eyes.

Ask Chizik, Fulmer, and Mack Brown if they are laughing -- after being fired from the team that they won a Natl Championship with

Its a career ending embarrassment, no matter how many trips they make to the bank

Miles did Lee a solid one year when he held him out of the opener because of an "undisclosed " injury. That's the thing about Les....he doesn't throw his guys under the bus. I'll bet those who know Lee know he holds no ill will.

Of all the former Tigers, Lee is probably the one I feel the most sorry for. Closely followed by Russell Shepard.

If Jarrett Lee stayed in the Tuscaloosa game, we would have lost.

If Jarrett Lee replaced Jordan Jefferson in the BCS Championship, we still would have lost.

Jarrett Lee should have entered the game in the 3rd Quarter of the BCS Championship to shake things up, I'll give you that much.
