It wasn't too long for me and I agree about 50%. Thank you for your effort. I don't want to write a long response, I've vented enough. All I can do as a fan is hope that our execution one month from now rivals the quality of execution I saw from Auburn. Then I might can go into next season hoping we can pick up where we left off.

Hill wasn't even touched on 2 of those TDs. The holes he ran through were enormous. Yes, he ran hard but you can't tell me that the difference between last year and this year is that Hill was that much better than Hilliard, Magee and Fournette.

Its hopeless to compare Miles to Saban in any way. And clearly Saban left the program loaded and primed for another NC. That 2005-2007 roster was sick.

rebuilding the program, yes it is

i keep seeing this. What did he rebuild? LSU was littered with NFl talent before saban got here. Did we not play a season before 2000?

We also do not have as good of an OL, particularly giving their coaching has actually somehow gotten worse without Studwara.

One thing about Studs was he could coach run blocking. Instead of hiring a better COACH, Les hired a worse coach that is more of a recruiter it seems.

And les was the head coach those 3 years. Im sorry but players he recruited were on those teams too. I find it hard to believe that all those players rode the bench until 2008. i know they didnt because one of them was the mvp of the seccg.

If we won those games they would have been 11-1 and 9-3. Im saying inferior because LSU has the most talented team in the country. Fans once told me Les was handed the most talented team in the country in 2005. So why was it in 2005 and not in 2004? was it those 8 commitments Saban had that turned 04 from 3rd best to the best in 05.

You do realize that the teams in 2005, 2006, and 2007 were likely the most talented in the country based on experienced players. Are you telling me JR in his RS Freshman year is as good as in 05 and 06, or Flynn as talented in 04 as in 08?

So even with a QB carousel including freshmen, LSU manage not to lose more than 3 games and had a 6-2 SEC record not 3-5.

Meyer adjusted his offensive scheme to his talent to win a title in 2006.

he did?

Saban has adjusted with various offenses under his head coaching days.

Dude, he's had the same type of offense you are bitching about right here, right now.

Adaptation is how teams win championships.

How many teams win championships and have an offense that looks awesome

Look, I know everybody thinks that because Florida state won with a freshman QB last year that we should be able to AT LEAST be competitive, but here's what none of the doomsday prophecies articulate:

- of J Winston's 4057 passing yards, 91% were received by Juniors / Seniors. Compare that to Harris / Jennings at close to 0%
- Of Florida State's 2844 rushing yards last year, 80% were from upperclassmen.
- Of Florida STate's offense last year, they have like 4 offensive guys in the NFL this year. How many of LSU's skilled offensive players are ready to compete at an NFL training camp next year?

ZERO. We fricking lost EVERYONE. It's okay. We'll be back next year.

Do you understand the difference between taking over a team that just went 7-15 the previous had had 3 winning seasons in the previous 11 year would be a rebuild? DiNardo doesn't get enough credit, but LSU was forced by Saban and Emmert to make changes it needed to compete at a high level. Miles has reaped the benefit of that more than anyone.

But I digress, LSU was loaded with a 2-deep in 2000 like it was in 2005.

Saban is arrogant as frick. Has lost his last 3 games versus ranked opponents. Causing havoc in Bama-land

Ok, fair point. But how often has that cost us a game. Once in 10 years? Carry on.

1) it doesn't need to cost us a game by itself to be a problem
2) ole miss 09, tenn 10 if not for a fluke penalty by tenn on the final play

So LSU, 1 year following an NC lost to 2 teams in the regular season with a combined record of 23-2. Wow, they sure lost to some bad teams that year.

Wow, LSU just lost to 2 teams currently ranked in the TOP 3. And yall are crying

Are you saying Meyer ran his true spread in 2006? Leak was that mobile? He made adjustments and slowly phased in a dominant offense.

Dude, he's had the same type of offense you are bitching about right here, right now.

No he's not. It is a ball control offense, but Saban's teams have been more dominant offensively than LSU's and he's won a title with first year starters twice because his staff developed them, and they spread the ball around well. His defense has also had one bad year that makes this one look like peewee league.

No one I know expected a title this year. Not one person. Most everyone I knew expected struggles on offense and with the QB spot. We didn't think our defense would continue to regress and the team be embarrassed on a national stage twice.

Most can handle losses, but when the team looks completely lost and the coaches, people are going to be upset.

I really wasn't trying to knock Les. I'm saying there's no point in comparing them bc they took over under different situations and Saban wasnt here that long. Its a natural tendency to compare them but it doesn't really lead to any firm conclusions.

In 2004, LSU got blown out once on the road and lost another game by 1 point on the road to the eventual NC.

They didn't give up over 1100 yards on defense to two teams including one game AT HOME!

How you lose is just as important as if you lose if not more important in some cases.

2007 Kentucky game. Sophomore Charles Scott had the hot hand in the first half. Pretty much didn't play the second.
