In this mornings ADVOCATE. He said that Mettenberger has a very srong arm and makes some very nice throws and is really improving. He also stated that Lee has a very distinct advantage over the time he's been in the system. He said that Lee throws the ball very well. He finished up by saying, "I think it's currently Jefferson and Lee and then Mettenberger."

I was really hoping that when Crowton left, we'd get an entirely new offensive system.
It sounds like that is definately not the case.
It sounds like that is definately not the case.

As it should be for now.. because Mett has only seen what.. a handful of practices?

this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone

Good point. Les Miles always goes by seniority and never plays underclassmen.
I'm impressed. You really know a lot about LSU football.

Then it sounds like the quote says that Lee is tied for the #1 spot, right?

Breaking news: Miles prefers seniority

Krag has been quoted more than once saying hat not too much would be changed or added. Just that more attention would be placed on simplifying what exists for better execution. Off of that, more wrinkles could be developed for versatility.

I think that tells you we were watching miles' offense and maybe crowton kinda had his hands tied...guess we will find out in the fall if we see any significant changes to the offense.

And you prefer inexperience?

yeah quote does make it sound like Jefferson and Lee are tied

The seniority myth that so many morons on this board constantly post about and believe is absolutely hilarious. Anyone who believes that miles doesn't play the best player instantly labels themselves as people that you shouldn't take seriously.

He surely does. Mathieu, PP7, Reid, Simon, Montgomery, Claiborne, etc...
That's a myth. Oh, except at QB, where every coach in the nation prefers seniority.

I hope by the start of the season that Mettenberger has at least replaced Lee as #2 don the depth chart just due to he is the future QB and needs the reps.

Yeah.
I guess that's why Miles played Richard Murphy ahead of Ridley, Blue (Fr), Ware (Fr), and Ford (RSFr).
Reid, Loston, Montgomery, Mingo, Simon, Mathieu, etc. won't see the field until 2012.
