Not mad a MC for propping up the coach he played for.

Miles sticks it to the haters routinely and to the doubters, give me one coach you would take over Miles?

Record wise, I agree.

But, if Miles came here before Saban, do you think he would of been able to build and establish the program that it is today?? The 1 thing that Saban is, is a builder. He goes to a school that has struggled and almost underachieves, builds the program back up, wins some championships, then leaves and finds a new school to build up. That is also why I think he leaves Bama in the next few years. I really think he gets bored when hes finished bulding up a program, and looks to a new project. But he is getting up there age wise. Maybe he finally settles at 1 place... who knows

Maintain might of not been the best word to use there. My apologies. Saban built and established the program that it is. Miles has taken the established program, and turned it into a consistent power house.

And again, I love Miles. Im not bashing him AT ALL. We are damn lucky to have him here. But, saying Saban is the best coach weve had up to this point is NOT saying Miles sucks. Some of yall need to realize that.

In the next few years or so, if we continue to be on the same level we are today, win the SEC a few times, and a Natl Champ or 2, I will rethink who the best coach weve had SO FAR is.

No way of knowing, seems unfair to hold Coach Miles to that standard.

It sucks that the media(insert the 4 letter network) stole Miles 2011 title. And yes it was stolen.

Which is why I asked a question and didnt make a declarative statement.

And also, Miles and Saban are completely opposite in terms of coaching style.

Gundy is doing well living off the legacy of miles. He built them to a better program than he inherited, speaking factually.

I'm not sure miles could have done what Saban did (maybe). But I think he could do it now, to a program similar to where lsu was in 2000.

up to now he is correct. The lack of QB development, The decision making between Lee and Jefferson, The play calling against Bama last year were all pathetic. He did one thing right up to now, hire Chavis to run defense. The STUD OL/OC was a horrible decision. He is righting the ship by hiring Cam. If he fulfills his role as head coach and lets those guys do their job he can rise above the mistakes of his past

Well said.

What do you expect him to say? He only played for Saban.

If you haven't noticed Saban isn't our coach anymore.

We have someone who is loyal and who knows how to recruit, hire good assistants, and win National Titles.

Additionally we don't have to worry about him wanting to leave every year.

People need to become content with a coach who has done nothing but win and represent our school well.

Ask Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, and the Mississippi's if they would take the sustained winning that Miles has brought to our program.

We are in the discussion every year under Miles. Are there things to criticize, yes, but the body of work cannot be argued with.

Josh Reed was a better wide receiver
so was Dwayne Bowe

...so what's his point?

Pretty much spot on. I would say Saban is one of the greatest if not greatest of all time college coaches. What he has done in the modern era with Scholly limitations, etc. is damn impressive.

I think Miles is a GREAT coach, but Miles has a ways to go before I would put him in the discussion of greatest ever.

Now with the current staff if Miles was to string together a 3/4 or 3/5 run of titles he would definitely join to conversation. Especially is Nick remains in the picture.

they guy has 2 s.e.c. titles, the highest winning % of any coach since his hiring, a n.c., played for another and you truly think he has done ONE THING RIGHT in the last 9 years?

Miles should have two titles and Saban 3, if not for the rematch game.

Miles has never back off of Saban. Unlike other SEC coaches.

The lack of QB development

Why do retards refuse to acknowledge Miles kicking RP off the team set the offense back two years? He recruited capable backups in JJ and JL. They were NEVER intended to be the starters. RP was and the kid that ended up on the Dodgers. Had Miles not kicked RP off the team, he would be ripped by retards.

And in 2011, Your Lord and Savior, Nick Saban, lost in the exact same fashion to Miles. What is the difference? Oh yeah, Saban got a Mulligan Miles would never get.

So he did a lot wrong prior to that, including a NC?

You people are retards.

either. Miles just isn't as good of a coach. Saban's defensive coordinators dont matter as much because Saban coaches his defenses and runs the table undefeated/wins a bunch of titles/etc etc.. Miles requires awesome coordinators on O and D to succeed enough to get a few 10 win seasons and 1 title thanks to Pitt and a few others allowing LSU to slide into the game with those choke jobs against Kentucky and then Darren McFadden in 2007.

Hopefully Miles can gain some ground in the head to head matchups with Lord Saban this season. Saban has taken the lead running away with titles that Miles hasn't been able to slow down.
