This!

My guess is that they believe Miles is lucky and not a good coach....and they are salivating over the chance to say I told you so...IMHO

The people who say that Bama was the better team forget that there are three phases to the game. Sure they had the better offense for a half, but we out gained them on the ground. Obviously our punting and FG kicking was superior. Not to mention that we beat them at their place with our backup QB.

People need to realize that:

Life is not fair.
Sporting events are not fair and head to head competition is often judged by a singular performance.
The perceived "better" person/team does not always win the singular event...

History does not record fairness, only the facts

9-6, 11-5-11

some agent probably paid him to pimp bama since he will be scooping up bama players. then mel can pump them up more once the agent gets them.

Said the same thing on the Freddie Coleman show on espn radio the other night.

He basically doesn't see stars at the QB position or one Trent Richardson-type RB for LSU, so he judges & labels the entire LSU offense as "inconsistent".

However, as a team, LSU has the #10 ranked QB rating in the nation at 156.3, & the #14 scoring offense in the nation at 37.9. That's pretty solid & consistent.

For someone who is supposed to see more than the average fan & is expected to make astute observations/evaluations, he's actually pretty shitty.

The better team generally wins. If that is what people need to hang their hat on to feel better, so be it. We, on the other hand are an unbeaten "lesser" team. I'd rather that than the other.

Idiots like Kyper are too far removed from the sport and too deep into the TV world. If a team doesn't have offensive skills players that are shattering records, the say stupid shite like "they find a way to win" or "they are playing over their heads". They forget that this really is a team sport, and when a coach and a great group of kids comes together in such a way that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts...great things happen.

Then LSU obviously has the better coaching since he thinks Bama was the better team.

I heard an idiot on the radio last night that said Bama left 12 points on the field...REALLY?

How the hell do you leave 12 points on the field when one fg was blocked and the 2 others WERE OUT OF HIS RANGE!!! They both fell short of the goal post!

The ONLY points they left on the field was the missed fg were he had the distance but pulled it...

I'll say it again...if the roles were reversed no one would be saying LSU was the better team and so forth...

They would be saying Bama made plays when it had to and that is what great teams do and they would be heaping praise...

I don't care what anyone says LSU is not getting the total respect it deserves up to this point...yeah they are number one in all the polls but listening to the pundits its almost like they are doing it by default because LSU is undefeated...if Bama was undefeated and they hadn't met yet they would have Bama even though LSU would still have the better resume...

Good times.

Robert Smith also thinks so..."Bama is the best team in the SEC."

Wouldn't the 'better' team have more faith in its defense than try to kick long FGs into the wind?

Wouldn't the 'better' team not make stupid penalties that killed promising scoring drives?

Wouldn't the 'better' team not drop passes?

Wouldn't the 'better' team not allow punts to sail over their heads, costing them 20+ yards in field position at a critical point in the game?

Mel Kiper fails to understand football then. There are three aspects of the game....Offense, Defense and SPECIAL Teams. Alabama failed at SPECIAL Teams.

Alabama might have been the better team coming away from that game...but they WERE the one-loss team coming away from that game. That much I can guarantee.

The media can't get its hands on Les Miles and this LSU team...so they say other teams are better and give everyone else a shot. No one picked LSU to win it all...and thus they have to make excuses and hope LSU doesn't...or it'll discredit their so-called experts.

Bama not only missed a few field goals, they were out coached. The fact we were able to capitalize on that and beat them in Bama says were are a better team.. I am not sure how you can argue against that.

Does anyone have Robert Smith of ESPN's email or know how I can get it.

I heard him say that Bama was the best in the SEC this morning and....

I'm wondering how the "BEST" in the SEC, would

* Allow LSU 185 yards rusing on them when they were giving up only 45 per game prior to that game.

* Miss 4 of 6 field goals because they were so far away from the goal post.

* Have their Heisman hopeful RB drop a screen pass right in his hands in OT, then get overthrown by their "superior QB", then get sacked, then miss a 52 yard field goal.

* Not beat a team with no real starter at QB.

* Not be able to capitalize on two interceptions and great field position,

* Lose at HOME and still be considered the best...

* Be favored and then not execute when they had the chance.

* Not be able to stop their opponent in OT with the greatest defense of all time, according to idiots like Smith

COME-ON Man. The best team beat Bama in Tuscaloosa and is about to make history today with 12 wins in the regular season against 7 top 25 ranked teams.

Geaux Tigers, and please complain to ESPN for an idiot like this making stupid statements like this one.

Now that would be a hard pill for the Bamar's to swallow! Would love to see that happen, but we have to take care of business today and whatever happens after that.

Alabama also failed on offense when they got into LSU territory they could not deliver. Total of -17 yards once they reached the LSU 35. Running between the 30's is not a good offensive showing for a better team.

Potential: is defined as having the ability but not delivering. This describes Bama to a tee! They did not deliver when they had the chances in their house.

They did not show up in Overtime and that is why they lost. PERIOD. They are not the best team.

In 2003 these nuts were saying the better team lost between UGA-LSU in Baton Rouge. We know the rest of the story.
