Those kicks weren't exactly "automatic." 45/50 yard field goals don't always go through the crossbars, even in the Pros. We had our share of mistakes, which, if they had gone the other way, maybe LSU wins by 10. All this "if and but" stuff gets tiresome. It was what it was, and Kiper needs to get over it.

The# 1SR QB and he was the first SR QB drafted.
Kiper had Russell as the #1 QB by the draft.
