I happened to turn on Sirius at the perfect time to hear Childers call LSU his dark horse team for the playoff. I listened to his analysis which would make any positiger smile.

Stated the obvious to those here on the rant about the draft defections culminating and costing us last year with too much youth. Said he isn't buying the qbs not being better after a horrendous outing last yr. Said both QBs stunk it up.

The most interesting thing he said, which I haven't seen or heard yet was his conversation w Les Miles. Childers said last year in the spring Miles was very concerned about the qbs and knew there was going to be a major struggle with the potential for a lackluster season. Childers said this year his attitude was completely different and he has a much greater confidence in both guys. Miles even said at some points in the spring has had to tell the QBs to ratchet it down a notch so the defense would have some time to catch up.

It's one man's opinion, but I sure hope that's the case.

I am hopeful, but we really won't know what we've got until 3 or 4 games into the season. I don't trust anything anyone says prior to then.

I couldn't believe it myself. But sometimes media members do get some more info from Miles than we see.

That being said-I believe nothing Miles says until I see it on the field.

I would love to see that come to be a reality. But, I do not like the comment about telling the QBs to ratchet it down if it is true ... What Coach would say something that crazy to his struggling QBs?

After the year, both of those young men had last year, you want to them to have as much confidence as possible without anyone telling them to do otherwise.

Childers loves LSU. I heard another positive rant he had about us a couple weeks ago. Talking about Fournette and everything - got me pumped.

Yeah, Its funny to hear him and Braden Gall talk about LSU. Its like the ultimate positiger taking on the ultimate negatiger. Its basically real life tiger rant on the radio.

I'd love to hear them argue on the air. Tiger Rant radio-LOL

If someone asked me to tone it down to make it easier for others that would do nothing but give me confidence.

Well, if he actually went to LSU and interviewed Miles, he has done more than almost all of the other talking heads.

Tony Barnhart, "Mr. College Football" bases his whole take on LSU off of what he saw last year and Chavis leaving. Listening to him is like listening to the idiocy of the SEC Rant. But, he is an "expert."

So, I'd be happy to hear from someone who has actually investigated a bit.
