They did very nearly upset Nebraska recently. However that Cowboy team was better than the current one and LSU is far more talented than that Nebraska team. Most importantly, Less will never allow his kids to disrespect or take lightly any opponent, much less a fellow state school.

I've actually seen a donkey jockeyed up and win a quarter race before... I use to go to offtrack for lunch with a coworker every now and again and our thing was to always avoid the greys. After the race started he noticed his "horse" was a grey and got pissed. Then as he pulled away... "wtf that's a donkey!"

Unlike loser Cajun fans, most of the McNeese fans are fans of both McNeese and LSU.

Some are trying hard to emulate Cajun fans

Reasons You Shouldn't Wear Purple At The McNeese Vs. LSU Game

Blue and purple don't mix.

As a proud McNeese student, allow me to present some reasons why you should leave the purple at home on Saturday.

1. Imagine telling a McNeese football player that you plan to wear LSU colors to the game. That boy has worked hard. Do you really want to see his reaction?

2. That school has enough support. Us Cowboys need to stick together.

3. You don’t even go there.

4. Even if you went there for a semester and transferred, it is important to bloom where you are planted. No one likes a wishy washy fan.

5. Blue and purple aren’t cute together, so that outfit you planned with both won’t look good.

6. Even though you feel the need to support LSU because your best friend’s uncle’s neighbor is there, your best friend’s uncle’s neighbor can cheer on their team, and you can cheer on yours.

7. We need to set the example for school pride. If McNeese students don’t have McNeese pride, who will?

I respect McNeese. I'm good friends with one of the running backs who graduated from catholic. I hope they do great things this year and I loved the fight they put up against Nebraska last year. They have a good program but they won't be beating this LSU team. Wouldn't surprise me if we start out slow or anything, though. I feel like thats pretty normal.

Beating LSU doesn't do much for us in the long run. Sure, it'd be an awesome win for our program

Beating LSU would do TONS for your program, don't go there.

I'd argue it would be 100 x's better than anything else McNeese could do all year.

Ask the barber to send some hair from this guy to be used as a drug screen. It's easy to detect that lol

I'd rather win conference than beat LSU. I'd rather win a National Championship than beat LSU. Those are our goals.

I think it'd be a positive and a good thing, but we have other business to take care of. If we were to beat LSU and then miss the playoff, or go one and done, what'd we really accomplish. Some bragging rights? That's about it.

I'd much rather beat Southeastern and Sam Houston St. than LSU.

Best they can hope for is to not lose half of their team to injury. Oh and I to work with a former Mcneese band member who tried to argue their chance at victory.

This is a fallacy that FCS teams get more injuries playing FBS teams. We have never had that many injuries playing FBS teams. As example, we hardly had any injuries last season against Nebraska but had two season ending injuries in the two games, Prairie View A&M and Arkansas Tech University, which followed Nebraska.

As far as the McNeese fan the original poster referenced, he is young and will learn. I find that young fans of any school usually have extreme views of their teams and aren't very realistic about their team.

Wait.....that was last season and the team is almost the same team except with everybody healed up and with a few new players, this year's team is expected to be better than last seasons.

Of course, LSU is a whole different creature than Nebraska was last year and I think the LSU team is taking McNeese a little more seriously than the Nebraska players did last season. I bet the LSU players are taking McNeese more seriously than some of the LSU fans are.

It would take a miracle for McNeese to win. I'd like to at least keep it a little close and not get totally embarrassed.

All of my friends go to McNeese, and a lot of them seriously think they have a shot at winning. They bring up their game against Nebraska from last year. I wish McNeese the best this season, but come on.

Beating LSU would do more for your program than winning your Conference.
