Obviously our bullpen needs to be affective for us to have a chance, but people forget UF isn't an offensive juggernaut. They have been a little better as of late, but they live and die with their pitching. It's not unbelievable that a guy like Peterson or Bain could give us a shot against them. We have heated up at the plate again and I like our chances.

Vegas likes LSU chances in game one. As they are favored.

PM conceded a game in 09 to Texas. 2nd game I believe. Knew they were throwing their ace so saved gausman for the 3rd game. This will work.

You have to accept that we are a depleted staff. So we have to decide where to make our stand...game 1 or game 2.

If Poche goes on a day less rest and we need to go to the bullpen early in game 1 we're fricked. Getting him and Hess a day extra rest gives us the best chance of winning one of the first two games.
This sums it up nicely. Then add to it UF's #1 just pitched last night so it won't be Wholestaff or #4 starter vs. #1 then you have the left side of the equation that PM is working with.

Very similar to our situation with OSU. Lost to them with basically whole staff in the first game. Then beat them 2 in a row with our top 2 available starters.
