Nothing sounds encouraging.... hearing him makes me want to bang my head into the wall. I feel like he isn't seeing the big picture here

Why does he need an alibi? His thoughts were to save the TO in case the play resulted in being down in the field of play. If he calls a TO, he can only try a FG. By making a first down the play clock won't start until the ref signals. Players should know the situation and know they have to get the play completed quickly. He trusted his players to execute. But its his responsibility to make sure situations like those not happen, I agree what Harris did was not the correct decision but Les should have called a timeout and took the what seems like winning the lottery 3 fricking points, but no, we can't call a timeout because the chains were being moved

That's actually the best explanation I've heard so far. But given all the past clock-management bed shittings - and the fact that Les didn't give that answer to the question when asked, I'm going to say that wasn't what happened.

Besides, making a federal case out of these 10 seconds in the face of such overwhelming defeat is a fools errand. Better to pick up the pieces and move forward.

It was only the first half.... would you take a shot for a touchdown and possibly not get it? Or take the 3 points, go into the half with some kind of momentum, I know we were never even close but that would have been the right decision

Ok, it is the players' faults. BUT, who prepares said players? The coaches, that's who. They are failing to prepare the players and it is showing on the field.

It wasn't a gimme FG. If Harris throws underneath, he sets up a better FG try as well. A TD really changes the momentum. A fg would have been like kissing your sister at that point in the game.

Thats something I think needs to happen NOW as well. Be on the sideline and be hands on with your guy. There are many more coachable moments in a game than there is in practice.

it's not a senior QB out there. got two frustrated green QB's trying to operate in a system that is not fit for their skill sets

Exactly! and to make it even worse they go off the field and sit on the bench and its like they're all by themselves. There is a major lack of in game QB coaching going on.
ETA as much as I can't stand Lane Kiffin, it sure is nice to see someone down on the field coaching up the QB and the rest of the offense all game long
