No JJ

People don't realize thst had JJ not been suspended (for defending a female) he would have been the all time win leader at qb...And if he had been suspended the ENTIRE YEAR LSU doesn't make it to the title game.

Most talent ever on a team for a single year was the 2006 team.

You have no idea what youre talking about. 2003 and 2011 both had more talent.
2006 offense was full of people that did nothing of substance in the nfl.

JJ is top 6 in every major offensive all time category in lsu history.
He is the single season and career qb rushing record holder.

Thanks. I appreciate it when poster let me know if can ignore their future posts about football.
There aren't 3 players in lsu history that were more productive at the qb position than JRuss. His 2006 season is the gold standard of lsu qbing.

Hester played SEVERAL YEARS AS DID ADDIAH IN 2005 which are a part of those stats but you left that out.

Lol.

Hester ran for 115 yards in 2005.
Addai ran for 911 yards and 9 tds in 2005.

quote:

Lafell is still playing. Keiland william played

Lafell had 140 yards rec and 2 tds during JRuss' entire career at lsu
Keiland Williams had 436 rushing yards and 5 tds during Jruss' entire career at lsu
quote:

Jim Bubble screen Fisher was the OC and the flavor of the month. Same as a rush. How many times Hester caught those

Hester had 300 yards rec and 3td during JRuss' entire career at lsu
quote:

How GREAT was that d with Landry, Dorsey and company to give the ball to Jimbo that many times.

This can be said of any good qb on a good team.
quote:

first off the only great team we played that year was UF.

we had the 6th hardest schedule in all of cfb.
We played 3 teams that finished in the top 15 and 4 in the top 25.
quote:

Auburn was good but Russell shite that game away with that fumble.

We had zero turnovers against 2006 auburn but hey why should I expect you to start using facts now.
quote:

Davis was a injured in nfl. So he was still a first round talent

He had 558 yards rec and 2 tds in his entire nfl career.
quote:

Black comes to mind on the Oline that year. Just to name 1.

Are you trying to list lsu olinemen that never played in the nfl? Because that's what Black is.
Our oline in 2006 didnt have any nfl olinemen that played significant time in the nfl.

Its like you want to penalize JRUSS because he played with decent offensive players. Do you do the same with Tebow? He was surrounded by talent too.

Typical millennial life view. If it happened before 1990, it doesn't merit acknowledgement.

glassman this is a best LSU quarterback list, not what did they do in the NFL.

Y.A. Tittle is our best overall qb until Bert shows up and since that time many have far better stats and qb ratings.

If you rank them on pro and college then:

1. Y.A. Tittle
2. Bert Jones

from there the list gets thinner, with Risher in the top 5-6.

USFL 527 299 56.7% 3394 23 23 72.6
NFL 19 74 44 59.5% 564 3 3 80.0

Flynn moves up to a top 5-6 type.

Does David move into the top 5? As he helped lead Miami to a Super Bowl.

The best 2 arms at quarterback in LSU history are Bert and Mett, with Jamarcus the 3rd best.

Best field generals Hodson, Risher, Rohan etc.

Russell had a better arm than both those qbs and played the position better than both at lsu.

Rickdaddy4188 arm does not mean strength only, one has to be able to place the ball in the right spot as well.

LSU has had many rb's with great speed by lacked the ability to or follow blockers.

You got one right!!

1. Steve Van Buren...NFL HOF
2. Y. A. Tittle....NFL HOF
3. Bert Jones...All American '72..NFL All-Pro, MVP '76

You kids can fight and argue over #4 & #5 but these are the best to play of the Tigers!

There are other qbs that played the position as good or better than some of those AT LSU. Youre letting their nfl careers supercede their play AT LSU.

Jones is for sure top 3 because he held lsu records once he was done. But so did Jruss.

No shite. JRUSS has the 2nd best career completion % in lsu history.
His 2006 season set the record for completion %. People that think JRUSS didnt have touch either cant remember his play or are being bias.

Jruss had the strongest arm in lsu history along with being the 2nd most accurate qb inlsu history.
