You're an idiot if you believe this. No way there are 10 better QBs in LSU history better than Russell.

Our 3 top rushers combined didnt have 1200 yards. The only wr on that squad to have any real lasting nfl success was Dwayne Bowe.
first off the only great team we played that year was UF.
Auburn was good but Russell shite that game away with that fumble.

Jim Bubble screen Fisher was the OC and the flavor of the month. Same as a rush. How many times Hester caught those.

Davis was a injured in nfl. So he was still a first round talent.

Hester played SEVERAL YEARS AS DID ADDIAH IN 2005 which are a part of those stats but you left that out.

How GREAT was that d with Landry, Dorsey and company to give the ball to Jimbo that many times.

Lafell is still playing. Keiland william played.

Black comes to mind on the Oline that year. Just to name 1.

Look at those from 2005 as well.

Old it's a very bad list you have put together.

Matt was in trouble a few games and in fact we would have very likely lost 2 more games in 07 without Ryan coming in.

Jeff could throw far big numbers, but was never a true leader type at QB or game manager.

Mike is remember due to a bad LSU team (depth wise and overall talent) and his ability to lead them in a time of great need, not great numbers but a winner.

Y.A. Tittles stats at LSU mainly come from the 4 Tulane games, look it up. He owned Tulane and it is very close to 1/4 of his stats while at LSU in only 4 games, the rest of the time he is your average qb of that era. Tittle is one of the few that got 4 years playing time because of WWII before fr could play and he was our starter all 4 years.

Bert Jones is a good one to place on the list.

As is Jamarcus Russell.

Tommy Hodson should never be off the best QB list at LSU.

Rohan Davey is a good candidate to place in a top 5 list.

Zach Mettenberger should be in a top 5 list, just think how much better he would have been without his knees banged up like they were and playing in a pass offense?

Abe before he got hurt 3 times was very good, as was Nelson who also got hurt 3 times.

Doc is before our time, but was good and had field leadership.

Threw for over 4,000 yards in a season when 3,000 was a big deal in the NFL.

These two are by far the best LSU has produced. It is arguable that David Woodley would be third having started in a Super Bowl.

I wish I could have seen Jones and Tittle play. I've seen a lot of video of Hodson and he was ahead of his time.

I know Russell was the best statistically, but Rohan, Flynn, and Mauck all had that "winner" factor JaMarcus seemed to lack.

I agree....I don't know much about stats, but I think Herb Tyler should get some more attention...he was a winner and is a great guy!

Jones and Russell had the best arms in terms of pure performance.
