The Grove is the most overrated tailgate scene in all of sports. Its just a bunch of douchebags in bow ties.

The Parade Grounds used to have hippies playing Frisbee all over the place. Does that still happen?

It's actually pretty cool.
Been several times.

Square downtown is cooler than anything LSU has to offer as well as far as post game and fri night.

Lack of personal cooking is biggest drawback of grove.
The weird alcohol laws are pain arse too.

I love the grove. almost everyone within 50 square miles tries to cram themselves into this space, leaving tons of places on a beautiful campus for real tailgating.

The grove is unique and tons of effort is put Into it. It's packed like a downtown with great food and pretty nice people. I would rather the grove over tha Parade grounds any day. Parade grounds are like the dirty crappy version of the grove though.

It's the Parade Ground. There is no 's' in Parade Ground.

This right here. Not much of a tailgate party to me if you can't cook and drink how you want. Yes I have been to the grove.

Well they separated them with the brick walkway. Now it's Grounds.

I thought the Grove was extremely overrated. One thing that I noticed at the LSU game there last year is there is no fricking music. It's just one big clusterfrick of college kids trying to act classier than they are. I would take our style of tailgating any day of the week.

I will admit that the Square beats Tigerland any day of the week though.

Here is a little comparison from a long-time LSU season ticket holder who has seen the Grove and the Parade Ground more times than he can count.....the Grove is spotless after the game while the Parade Ground looks like a garbage dump or your local landfill after the game. I wish LSU students would demonstrate some pride and clean up their filth before they departed for the game. It is disgraceful and disgusting the manner in which the Parade Ground is trashed after a game.

Freaking this. Last time I was there a cop looked in my cup and saw it was beer and made me pour it out, but said I could have whiskey. Still haven't figured out the logic on that.

Agreed Parade Ground > Grove, but also:

This. Oxford is a pretty great town in general. Just never cared for The Grove. So wildly overrated.
