Well, this year we should be favored, circumstances favor the Tigers this season. We return our entire offense with more experience, instead of coming in with new players at QB and WR. That does make a difference, no matter how much you poormouth our offense (and Harris' numbers weren't statistically bad, just not balanced with the run). Harris should at least have some rhythm with Dural and Dupre, something that was missing last season. Should see less deep balls, more 15 yd passes. Well, about the deep balls- Harris shows great physical escapability and the ability to throw on the run, so the deep threat should still be present.

Couple that with the loss of most of the rest of our opponent's QBs, and we're looking good.

Hilarious case of projection.

Yes they would have been -1 favorites LAST year in DV. Hmm which team returns 18 starters with a better DC? We do and they won't be better, probably worse. Add that up and it's worth 2 points

But it will have to be worth more than 2 points because people were obviously deluded last year when they thought we were that close to being as good as they were. That delusion will likely have been dispensed with by 1) Alabama's blowout of us last year, 2) our November swoon, 3) their CFP title and 4) yet another #1 recruiting class for Alabama. So, before knowing about ANY of that, people STILL thought they were enough better than us to be favored in our stadium. Now that they do know all of that, it will likely take more than just a lot of returning starters to convince them that LSU will actually win. If people don't think LSU will win, we won't be favored.

Bama is always very good under Saban. If you look at Bama's results in Tiger Stadium, that's even more in Bama's favor. It should be a good game, but Bama reloads every year and they are great with working new QBs in over there. The results speak for themselves.

Don't have the highest paid staff, plenty of schools have nice facilities and other teams have more favorable schedules. Remember LSU still travels to Aub, and UF.

Highest paid does not mean the highest quality.

6.5 but no, it wouldn't.

LSU will be favored in most if not all games if Harris stays healthy and brings more balance to the offense. If Harris gets hurt, I think we're screwed. He has to make better decisions next year. We cannot win the conference or the NC with a backup.

LSU's run game is going to be below average.

No depth in the LB's, new coordinator, new scheme, young players in he front 7. Usually means getting beat in the run game.

I only care about the score after the game....not the "predictions" before.

It's been that way before in recent seasons going in. Bottom line is in the past I'd say 10-12 years
one could make a good argument LSU brings the most overall talent to the field somewhere in the
neighborhood of 85-90% of their games. I would bet a bit of research would back that up.

A credit to the good recruiting we've done in that time.

There can't be more than a handful of games LSU wasn't favored in over the last 10 years.
