Wisconsin wore home red in 2014, so I suppose LSU would wear home colors and Wisconsin primarily white this time around.

Nope, per NCAA rules the home team picks their jersey color. LSU wears white at home. Wisconsin will wear red this Sept.

LSU's primary uniform at home is white, which has been an LSU tradition since the Dietzel era in the 1950s - there is an exception though... For one non-conference game a year (that isn't the home opener) the team will wear purple jerseys in Tiger Stadium.

Obviously throughout the years, there have been instances where the purple jerseys make more than one appearance: 2004 versus Oregon State, 2007 at Tulane, 2009 versus Mississippi State, 2015 (technically AT) South Carolina are just a few I can think of off the top of my head (since the new millennium).

Typically the 2nd home game (if it's against an OOC opponent) and homecoming.

I think the LSU rule of thumb is white for SEC games, white for home opener, white for power 5 OOC games. We wore white against Washington in 2012 and purple for the other 2 OOC games. This makes sense because obviously LSU wants to stick to its big traditions in big games. Even though Washington wasn't a very strong team that year they were still a much more respectable opponent than most OOC games.

ETA: Of course though there are exceptions like 2004 Oregon State. Although I've heard that was more to spare them from wearing black in the Louisiana heat.

How will you respond when the Tigers come out of the Lambeau Field locker room on 9/3 in PURPLE jerseys?

What do you want, an apology?

If they come out in purple every single LSU fan with a brain will be surprised.

Hell, LSU always wears white on the road and except under very specific situations they do the same at home.

There is literally not a single reason for anyone to expect or even consider that LSU will wear purple vs Wisconsin.

Now, is anything 100% certain, no, but to ask this question given LSUs history is just dumb.

Not true. There have been at least 5 occasions since 1998 the Tigers wore dark jerseys on the road (Florida in 1998 and 2000, Georgia Tech in 2000, Miss. St. in 2007 and 2009) and possibly others as well. It's not as rare as this board will make you believe.

VIA ELECTRONIC MAIL
MEMORANDUM
May 22, 2014
TO: NCAA Head Football Coaches, Conference Football Coordinators of
Officials, Division I Football Conference Administrators and Divisions II
and III Conference Commissioners.
FROM: Troy Calhoun, chair
NCAA Football Rules Committee
Rogers Redding, secretary-rules editor
NCAA Football Rules Committee.
SUBJECT: Requirements for Football Uniform Jerseys.
The NCAA Football Rules Committee has become increasingly concerned about
the proliferation of jerseys that do not meet the requirements stated in the playing
rules. This letter is intended to draw attention to these rules so that equipment
manufacturers, member institutions and game officials will have a clear
understanding of what is permissible and the ramifications of a team wearing noncompliant
jerseys. The relevant regulations are in Rules 1-4-4, 1-4-5 and 1-4-8.
If you have a uniform that may be in question, you should share your design first
with your conference coordinator of officials. The coordinator, in turn, will
communicate any questions or concerns to the NCAA Secretary-Rules Editor,
Rogers Redding, before responding. Teams may elect to copy Rogers
(redding.cfo@hotmail.com) on their correspondence with their respective
coordinator, but the conference office should be the first reviewer.
1. Jersey Color—Home Team
a. The home team must wear colored jerseys. White jerseys are allowed
for the home team only if the two teams have agreed in writing before
the season.

That is EXACTLY as rare as this board makes you believe. 5 times in almost 20 years!? That's basically on par with how this board portrays how often we wear purple outside of the normal group of 5 OOC games.

2000 against Tech was a neutral site game. Tech also has a tradition of wearing white at home. They were the designated "home" team for the bowl game.

That's a grand total of 5 road games in nearly 20 years, and none of those were by choice, it was due to the home team electing to wear white. We've played 104 total games away from Tiger Stadium since 1998, and in 99 of them we have worn white. That's pretty rare man

One team is still the home team in the other is the away team, despite it being a neutral site game.

So 5 games in almost 20 years isn't rare?

Just stop arguing with them man. You could misspell a word by one letter and you would get absolutely roasted on this site. It's filled with arseholes.

You should use a semicolon between two closely related independent clauses. Never change, Bama.
