No, they're smart. But more importantly, fair. The idiots are you guys who think teams should be "punished" or " rewarded." That's not how it works. Teams are re-ranked every week. And the thing that has always been the #1 factor in separating teams is number of losses. That's why Clemson , Michigan, and Washington are a still ranked high. They weren't punished for losing-- they were re- ranked. And fortunately for them there are so few teams with only 1- loss that they wound up not falling very far. The whole season matters. As it should.

#2 in the SEC, whatever criteria is used to determine this. If it's the CFP rankings, then all we'd need is for us and Bama to win out.

Other than #'s 1, 2, maybe 3, 4 and 5 I think LSU would beat the other teams that are in front of them.

LSU would beat any of those except Bama easily.

I actually don't think this way, which is why I didn't understand a massive drop after playing Bama so tight.

Unless Tennessee upsets Bama in the SECCG and they jump LSU in the rankings

This process of understanding the difference between beating a 25th ranked team and a 6th ranked team is clearly going to be difficult for you to understand

Maybe I'm missing something but what is the point of Vegas rankings? Clearly it isn't based on odds to win a national championship so is it just something casinos do for fun?

Fair enough. I think it was simply
that there were that many teams with 2-losses that we fell behind with 3. And now, a week later, some of those 2-loss teams now have their 3rd loss and some of the 3-loss teams now have their 4th.

Is it just me, but I see us better that AT LEAST 8 teams ahead of us.. Not saying we should be ranked that much higher, since we have 3 losses.

As long as your program is a national brand that can generate high TV ratings, you're immune from being punished.
Exactly right. 'When you see a situation you don't understand, look for the money.'

If there is any question as to the real reason why the BCS and CFP were instituted, maximizing the ratings is your answer. The BCS/CFP committee is where the fix is made.

Still in denial? Watch the West Coast Market's Washington Huskies get pushed into the playoffs after the Michigan - Ohio State game. That's as close to a sure thing as you can get. Remember, it's not the team, it's the regional TV audience.

Lmao. Yes and a&m was ranked , 4th two weeks ago. Washington doesn't even have top 40 talent..but they play in a shite conference so that is a good win. Your analytical reasoning skills are outstanding. Congrats.

Because all those 2 loss and 3 loss teams are equal right? They all have only losses to top 15 schools and weren't blown out. Schedules should matter, but unless you are a media darling...they don't.
